Jeremy's POV
It's been about a week since Angelo left for Italy.
I knew that he left because it was better for his family. I couldn't blame him for that, but I still missed him. I missed him a lot. He didn't even know how long he would be gone. He texted me any chance he could, and I loved that.
"If Emerald left to a different country, I would die." Adam said in his dreamy voice. I rolled my eyes.
I stared down at the blank piece of paper under my pencil. I had writers block lately and nothing is more brutal to a writer then that. We were in a writing class in the same building that I used to take painting classes in.
Adam is here because he is....Adam.
Adam would try anything and I was very shy to do this alone so he said he would tag along. Even though he didn't like writing, at all. The teacher had given us a prompt to work on, but Adam was just doodling and texting with Emerald.
I was just sitting here with my mind wondering everywhere except the prompt. I heard the door open and someone walk in, they sat next to me but I didn't look over.
"How late am I?" someone whispered.
"Only about 10 minutes." I said and looked over.
A boy around my age was sitting next to me. He had light brown hair and dark green eyes. He was taller then me and you could tell he went to the gym at least three times a week. He had slight stubble on his face that made him look older.
I quickly glanced down at my paper before he noticed that I was looking.
I finally focused on the prompt that I was supposed to be working on.
What do you consider is the definition of strength?
That should be easy right?
I started writing once the words came to me. I was starting my second paragraph when I felt eyes on me. I glanced over and realized he was staring at me. I started to blush and went back to writing. After a couple of minutes I noticed that he kept glancing over at me.
I felt myself feeling self conscious. I didn't understand why he was staring at me. I didn't know if he thought I was cute or ugly, either way it was making me uncomfortable. Not to mention I have a boyfriend. Once I thought that, I grinned.
The next half hour of the class seemed to go by slower then a snail. Adam kept showing my doodles of the teacher which helped lighten the mood. I felt more comfortable even though I could still feel his eyes boring into the side of my head.
Once the class was over I jumped up and grabbed my stuff.
"Hey, what's your name?" I heard his voice ask.
"Ummm Jeremy."
"I'm Romeo."
I smiled. His eyes roamed from the top of my head to my feet. My cheeks started burning under his gaze. His gaze felt like he looked at me more then just as a stranger.
"You're pretty." He said and I blushed harder.
I saw Adam watching closely as he waited by the door. He gave me a questioning look and I just shrugged.
"Uhh thank you. Just so you know, I have a boyfriend." I said but he didn't look surprised.
"I can still give you a compliment right?" He asked and I nodded.
"I have to go." I said and quickly walked out the door with Adam close behind.
We quickly left and I could feel Adam running up behind me.
