Unrequited love

Sasuke couldn't sleep, he was so concerned about Hinata's well being, she had been through alot, Losing her mother at early age, her father and everyone around her calling her how useless she is, worthless, weak, her failures during all missions, and the unrequited love from naruto.
She was selfless, though, she was happy naruto found happiness, and found someone to reciprocate his love, as for naruto who loved sakura since childhood, but she never felt the same way, only chasing after sasuke, who was focusing on His vengeance, and the only one to occupy his heart was Hinata.
He decided to get up, and head for his best friend.
But he had to make sure hinata wouldn't do anything foolish again, so he left a crow by her.

"Sasuke.." Naruto said
"You okay?" Naruto asked worriedly, he knew sasuke too much,
sasuke sighed.
And after a dead silence he said
"Hinata tried to kill herself again.."
"Whatt..." naruto gasped
Naruto knew everything about the marriage deal.
He also knew hinata does love him, but he couldn't reciprocate her feelings.
He loved hinata so dearly but not in a romantic way.
In the end hinata was one of the fewest that believed in naruto and sacrificed her life for him.
He also knew sasuke has felt something towards hinata though he never admitted it, but he knows his best friend too well. He thought hinata deserved someone to love her unconditionally from the very start.
"Sasuke, you have to tell her the truth."
"I can't naruto. It will endanger her."
"You can't just keep her locked forever.. sasuke.."
Sasuke sighed
"I know you are a little bit.. well too much possessive and over protective over her... but she would fall apart eventually, especially she thinks you married her out of pity and for using her as a birth machine.."
Sasuke snorted.
"Some things are better left unsaid naruto.."
Naruto sighed.
"I have to go.." sasuke took off, he headed to the village center, he thought of buying something to Hinata, like a new kimono, a new gift.
Ever since their marriage, and the unforgettable painful night to Hinata, even though sasuke was dying out of guilt, he refrained from approaching hinata intimately, sure she flinched on his touch, and he left bruises on her, however he was trying to make it up for her in many different ways.
Bringing her gifts, preparing breakfast for her, but still she was lifeless.
Though at first she was avoiding, despising him, but later on her gentle character took over, and she some how acted a little bit fine.

As for Hinata, she was confused.. so much about sasuke, why was he so rough, this was the first time he snaps at her, but then he treated her like a queen, but still why he keeps her locked up.
She thought he wanted children, but since that night, he didn't sleep with her again.

"Hina- chan" Sasuke greeted hinata in the same garden they met yesterday.
"Sasuke-kun.. how is your face"
"I am a tough guy..." sasuke smiled
"I brought you a gift" Hinata gave him a bracelet.
"You did it yourself.." sasuke said excitedly as she tied the hand made bracelet around his wrist.
She nodded
"Lets play... sasuke-kun" she smiled.

Sasuke put his hands inside his pocket, he took out the bracelet hinata gave to him, he gazed at it and smiled.

"I am so tired.." sasuke said while heaving and sprawling his body on the ground between grass.
Hinata joined him, both laying on their back, under the tree shades.
"Do you love your sister Hina-chan" sasuke asked out of the blue, he wanted to know wether hinata loved her younger sister, though she was acknowledged more than her, he wants to know for sure wether his brother loved him or not.
"Yes.. she is the best thing i have" Hinata said smiling.
Sasuke looked at her with a glittering eyes, how can she be so pure, he thought she would be jealous, or angry, but she wasn't.
"Do you love your brother sasuke-kun"
"More than you can ever imagine.."
hinata smiled.
Every day. Sasuke and hinata would meet and play together, they would talk about anything and everything, Sasuke could tell hinata about his issues with his father, he knew she would understand because they both share the same thing.
He would listen to her stories, he loved her gentle voice, she was his very first friend.
They both eased each other pain, until the night, his whole clan was massacred by the hands of his elder brother.
Sasuke went to Hinata that day, he sneaked inside her room.
"Sasuke kun" hinata gasped as she saw sasuke's face.
She approached him and wrapped her arms around his neck, he buried his face in her shoulders and sobbed hysterically.
"What happened..." she asked worriedly
He wrapped his hands around her waist and tightened his grip.
"Its okay.. i am here..." she said.
After a while, sasuke calmed down and told her about the massacre.
Hinata was shocked, she understood the pain, he gone through, she tried to bargain that maybe their are other reasons, but sasuke snapped at her telling her that she musn't make excuses over his parents murderer.
Hinata couldn't comprehend the story, how can a loving brother. As sasuke always said, do that, somethings felt odd, but she had to be considerate over his feelings.
She let him stay with her that night.
She didn't want to leave him alone.
However sasuke started to change a little bit, hinata could see that he is no sasuke she knew, she tried to help him, to heal his shattered soul, but she failed, sasuke started to snap at her alot, push her when she tries to comfort him, he became defensive.
add on he swore on revenge,
"Sasuke kun.. i am sure there is a reason please.." Hinata said
"I will kill him.. i swear.."
"That will make you the same as him..." Hinata said that and was met by sasuke's growl, he punched her, she fell on the floor.
"What do you know about it huh... you useless, weak, one.. you know why they don't acknowledge you, because you are blinded by your purity, and emotions, you are weak.." hinata looked at sasuke with eyes full of tears, he hurt her so much, how can her very first friend be so cruel to her..
Sasuke then realized what he had said after he saw the beautiful angelic, gentle face cringe and redden. But it was too late as he tried to fix it
Hinata stood up and ran.
Sasuke realized what he had done, he hurt the most precious soul, he has.. the one who understood and talked to him, eased his pain.
"Hinataa.. wait... Hinataaa..."
He chased her but as she was running, she slipped and fell and hit her head on a rock.
Sasuke reached her to find her knocked out, with a bleeding forehead.
"Hina..hina.. wake up..." sasuke shook her with tears in his eyes.
"Hina i am sorry.."
He panicked and took her to the hospital.
They bandaged her wound, sasuke was tearing, how could he do that to her.
He realized how much he hurt her, he looked at her frail form, she had some bruises because of him, pushing her away. And now her head was bleeding because of him.
Sasuke decided his presence is hurting the most beloved one, so he decided to walk away, with a heavy heart. He left after he made sure she woke up.

"Where am i" hinata asked as she fluttered her eyes opened.
"You hit your head, and your friend brought you here, he was so worried about you.." the nurse said
"My friend.." hinata frowned.
"The raven head boy with black orbs.."the nurse raised her eye brows.
"I.. i don't know a raven head boy with black orbs.."
Amnesia.. the nurse retorted in the inside.

After the incident, sasuke watched Hinata from afar, sitting in the garden, dared he not to approach, he misses her, but he can't hurt her anymore, he sometimes wondered why she didn't come to see him, but he argued she had the right, maybe she fed up. Or scared.
He saw a group of bullies approaching her again, and as he decided to intervene, a certain blond haired guy, with blue eyes, acted heroically and defended his Hinata.
He watched from afar, and hinata looked at naruto the same way she used to look at sasuke..
He felt thousand stabs inside his heart...
How dare that guy steal her attention.
He decided to interfere but hinata was summoned by her cousin neji. She left.
