Ciel's P.O.V.
The girl from earlier glanced down the hallway and came up to me. "I can help." She mumbled at me. It was as if she was ashamed to be seen with me. She had told me she wouldn't help, so what made her change her mind? "Come watch me." I heard it as a command. But I did as she told me to. I watched intently as she turned the nob and flipped through the numbers, then rested on zero. She looked down at the paper I was holding and she said, "I need your numbers. I promise that I won't break into your locker or anything." I handed the numbers to her.
"Aren't you going to say anything to me?" She said as she slammed open the locker. "Not really." She rolled her eyes and said, "Whatever. Anyway my name is Sam. And I highly suggest keeping low on the radar. You're the new kid, an easy target. Just a word of advice to you." I nodded slightly. I knew Sebastian couldn't save me at school. It was terrifying to think that I was completely vulnerable. As Sam walked away I said, "Thank you, for opening my locker." I hadn't meant to said it loudly but it was. A few people turned and looked at the both of us. She turned bright red and turned on her heel.
I tried to arrange my books in my locker, but it just turned into a big mess. I heard my stomach growl at me softly. I sighed and headed down the hall. This place was a living hell. Hormones for as far as the eye could see. Middle school was not glamorous. I picked up my pace down the hall and made it to the outside lunch tables. I didn't want to witness the horror of the cafeteria just yet. It was only my first day.
I took in the wide courtyard filled with people. Sebastian had told me not to be like myself and to try to make some friends. I didn't need friends, they were just pawns to me. Even if I wasn't playing that game anymore. I spotted Sam and almost starting walking towards her table. But stopped myself, she was sitting with all of the trendy looking girls. And a guy had a whispering things into her ear and she laughed. I could tell she was faking that laugh. I doubted she likes any of these people.
I decided to take her advice and stay low on the radar. Though Sebastian would most likely be angry with me for not socializing. I headed back inside and headed to the bathroom. Once I got there I closed the toilet and sat down. The door was locked and it smelled bad. But I was finally alone. I opened my lunch box and saw what Sebastian had made. It was wonderful, I never admitted it but his cooking was amazing. There was a grilled chicken salad, some bite sized sandwiches, homemade juice, and a thick slice of chocolate cake. Though I was eating it in the bathroom it still tasted good.
Suddenly I heard the door open. I froze. Nobody could catch me doing this. I lifted my feet and sat very still. They went in a stall and locked it. I gathered my courage and quickly opened the door threw my trash away and ran out the door. I slammed into someone.
