Ciel's P.O.V.
Sam didn't talk to me the rest of the lunch. "Would you like to have lunch with me more often?" I knew that it was a risky question but I was curious. Sam's eyes lit up. "Y-yes! That would be wonderful!" Then her smile faded. "Well then again.... I don't know." I shrugged. "Whatever is to your liking. So far you have been the only person to act decent to me." She took a sip of her Coke. "I know." I was thinking to myself that if I could at least get one friend Sebastian would leave me be.
"Um Ciel. Why do you wear that eye-patch?" Sam pointed at my face. I couldn't actually tell her. "I was in an accident when I was young. It damaged my eye." She sighed and didn't ask about it farther. The bell rang and we both stood up. "Well, see you after classes then." She smiled and said, "Yeah." I was finally going to have one real friend, and Sebastian would get off me about it. And Alois didn't count as a 'real friend.'
The rest of the day was uneventful and quite. I didn't mind the whispers in the hallways about me. I hadn't had this kind of glory in centuries.
When the final bell rang and the class was dismissed I walked slowly out towards my locker. Sam was already there holding my jacket as if were an ancient artifact. She smiled when she saw me and waved. I quickened my pace. David was sneaking up behind her. He grabbed the back of her shirt and I caught his wrist. I tightened my grip, anger boiling up. David glared at me and back at the teary eyed Sam. "Let her go." I growled at him. "Make me." I twisted his skin. "Now." He was beginning to sweat. "No." I gripped so hard I could feel his bone. And I yanked his arm away, and in the process breaking his wrist. He yelled out in pain.
David's hand was at an unnatural angle. "Don't touch her." Sam was on the floor against the lockers, she was absolutely shocked. Yes, I could fight. Thanks to Sebastian. I heard teachers running, that was the effect of the screaming. I grabbed Sam's backpack, my backpack, and Sam. She kept staring at me. I sprinted down the hall. This was bad. "Hey! New kid! Get back here!" The English teacher was yelling at me. I dropped everything, I needed to catch my breath. "Wow, Ciel.... That was... that was awesome!" I looked up at her and said through my panting, "Oh yeah?" She nodded quickly.
"That was, wow!" I didn't know this was impressive, but I guessed she thought it was. I smiled and wiped the sweat off of my brow. "I am going to be in a lot of trouble, right?" She laughed. "Oh boy. Yes you are." I stood there holding back a grin. I was actually enjoying myself. Then I turned to see the teachers after me. I quickly unzipped my backpack and grabbed my phone.
Sebastian picked up on the second ring. "Master, is everything alright?" I said, "Yes I am fine. But I just broke a boy's wrist and the adults are currently running at me. But on the bright side I have made a new friend." I heard Sebastian chuckle and then he said, "I am on my way. But for once you are going to take responsibilities for your actions." I sighed. "Yeah yeah."
The teachers stood around me and yelled. More at each other than me. I then saw Sebastian pull into the parking lot. I dodged out of the crowd and waved my arms at him. "Sebastian!" He pulled right in front of me and rolled down the window. "Trouble already?" I rolled my eyes.
As Sebastian and I walked back over to the crowd of adults. Sebastian leaned towards me and said in a low voice, "Oh, you didn't mention this 'friend' was a female." I blushed and looked over to Sam. She was still standing still, dumbfounded by all the things that were going on. My English teacher stormed over to Sebastian. "Are you this young man's father?" Sebastian smirked and looked down at me. "Yes I am." I reddened. The teacher glared down at the both of us. "You are in a mess of trouble."
