"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit." I scramble to my feet, remembering today is my mother's wedding.
I look over at Floyd, and she's sleeping peacefully. I almost don't want to wake her up, she looks adorable with her face all squished up in the pillow, and her hair a bit messy.
I smile, but quickly pop back into reality. "Shit, um, Floyd?" I whisper. She grunts and shifts a little. "Floyd." I say a bit louder.
She lifts her head up, not opening her eyes. "WHAT JAI?!" she yells.
Jeez, guess she's not a morning person. My eyes widen. "Um.. Uh, we have to get to the wedding."
"Fuck!" she scrambles to her feet. "What time is it?" she asks as she rushes into her bathroom.
"It's 11:30. We have to be there at 1:30." I yell back into the bathroom.
"Well, that's not bad I guess. I have to call my parents. Will you get my dress in my wardrobe please?" she asks me.
"Yeah."

Floyd's POV
"Dad? Um, why aren't you here?" I ask, frustrated through the phone.
"I'm helping set up stuff for the wedding. Just ride here with Jai. Start getting ready now."
"Okay. Love you."
"Love you too." Andrew says.
I hang up, and start straightening my hair, I already took a shower.
"Jai, don't you have to get your tux?" I ask.
He appears in the doorway of my bathroom, while I'm in a towel. "I'm a guy. It'll take me like 15 minutes to get ready. We can pick my tux up from my house on the way, and I'll change at the wedding before it starts."
I nod. "You look beautiful by the way." Jai says, and walks away, leaving me speechless.
I quickly put on light makeup. Mascara, cream colored eyeshadow, and lip gloss.
I put on my dress, along with my white vans, and walk out of my bathroom.
I look down at my dress, then up at Jai. "Do I look okay?" I ask quietly.
He stares at me intently. It almost looks like he's looking at me with lust. No, that can't be.
"You look.. Bea.. Pretty." he says quietly.
"Thanks." I whisper.
I grab my phone and take one last look in the mirror.
I sigh. No wonder I don't have a boyfriend.
"Why do you look at yourself like that?" Jai comes up behind me.
I quickly look away from myself and at the ground. "L-Like what?"
"With complete loathe. You have no reason to look at yourself like that, Floyd. You're beautiful." he whispers in my ear, his warm breath fanning my heated cheeks. He pulls a strand of hair away from my face, and tucks it behind my ear.
'What is he doing?' I think to myself.
"Floyd, I'm not going to pretend I don't like you." he whispers.
My eyes widen. "W-What?" I breathe out.
He turns me around gently. "I like you, Floyd Lennon." he looks down at his shoes.
"I-I.. I don't have time for this.." I say quietly.
I didn't know what to say. We had to be at the wedding in twenty minutes, and that's too much to take in. Of course, mentally, I'm jumping up and down excitedly.
But I can't show him that. He looks away from me, and hastily walks out of my bedroom and down the stairs. I hear him get to the door, and slam it shut.
I sigh, and hurriedly walk out of my house.
I look at my Jeep and Jai is in the passenger seat looking out the window, refusing to look at me.
I feel bad, I probably fucked up any chance of him liking me now. Everything just came out all wrong, and I didn't have enough time to explain my feelings.
I snap out of my thoughts, realizing I'm standing in front of the car door. I hastily get in, slamming the car door a bit.
The car ride is silent, and incredibly awkward. I pull into Jai's driveway, and wait for him to get his tux and get changed.
When he walks out, he looks handsome as ever. With a normal tux, and his hair perfectly messy, as always.
I want to grab his adorable face, and kiss it all over, but I can't.
Because Jai Collins, will never be mine.
