Anyway, here's the chapter!

It took about two days for Ymir to arrive at the place she would be staying for the next two months. Although they had taken breaks in the journey, Ymir was still completely exhausted. Since the titans had all been killed, the Levi squad were staying outside Wall Maria and close to the ocean, where they were discussing plans against Marley and helping to build rail tracks to help Paradis develop.

Ymir was surprised to find out that Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Sasha, Armin and Eren were the members of the new Levi squad. Once she arrived, she was told that, with the help of her comrades, she would have to learn to use the new manoeuvre gear that Paradis had developed. The manoeuvre gear would be vital for future battles against humans.

It didn't take Ymir long to learn how to use it and she was just as good as everyone else within a month, since it wasn't very different to the manoeuvre gear they used against titans. It felt like the good old days when they were all trainees - except with some friends missing, including her little Krista.

Hange would show up sometimes to take measurements of her titan and do various other experiments. Hange was working on a plan to get Annie Leonhart out her crystal in the safest way possible. Ymir also tried crushing Eren's hardened titan skin with her jaws and it worked!

Finally, when the two months had passed, it was time for her to go back and see her beloved Historia. As they all boarded the carriage, Hange handed them each a few coins.

"I'm going to treat you all by taking you to the famous Stohess market as a celebration first!", Hange told them, joyfully.
"Thank you so much!", Sasha cried, shocking Hange with a hug, "I can't wait to try all the delicious desserts there!"
"Tch, I wonder who you stole that money from", Levi said, almost smiling.

Once they arrived, they started wondering around, looking for the perfect place to spend their precious money.

"We need to enjoy this and pick our food carefully!", Sasha exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know you want to see Historia but don't rush us, Ymir", Connie said.
"Actually there was something I wanted to buy myself", Ymir told them, staring down at her hand full of coins.
"Really?", Armin asked; they were all shocked, "what?".
"There doesn't happen to be a jewelers around here, does there?", Ymir asked, looking around.

They all gasped excitedly.
"I think there's one down there", Mikasa stated.
They chattered as they entered the shop.
"You're going to propose to Historia, aren't you?", Eren said.
"We'll help you find the perfect ring!", Sasha announced.

The group then proceeded to search through the whole store and present every single ring to Ymir. Ymir declined them all, unable to find one perfect enough for her beloved Historia. She just couldn't help but be picky when the ring was meant for a goddess. After a long while, just as Sasha started to loose her patience and moaned about how hungry she was, Ymir noticed a little gold ring, adorned with a glittering sapphire. The ring instantly reminded her of Historia's soft golden hair and shining sapphire eyes, so beautiful that they would lock your eyes in and burn them out.

"This is the one!", Ymir exclaimed, picking it up.
"Finally!", Jean groaned.
"But look at the price - there's no way you'll have enough", Eren told her.

Ymir's smile faded. He was right.

"Here take my money", Armin said, handing all his coins to Ymir.

Ymir was shocked as one by one, each of her friends offered their money, including Sasha, who was unsure at first but was then convinced once Connie reminded her of how big a feast Historia would likely have for her wedding. Once the money was added up, it was just enough to buy the ring. The group went back to find Hange and Levi, hungry and tired but with an unusual feeling of satisfaction.

"Everyone can have some of my bread!", Krista beamed, handing bread to Sasha.
"Stop trying to be good", Ymir stated, disgusted, "you're not really a good person. You're lying".

Krista rolled her eyes.

"Maybe you're lying, Ymir. Stop being mean", Krista replied.

Ymir was slightly taken aback; this kind of response was very unusual for Krista.
"Are you an idiot? I live for myself and only myself", Ymir said.
"You always tell yourself that but I'm telling you, it's a lie", Krista told her, "you really have a big, beautiful heart".
Krista tapped Ymir's chest just above where her heart would be.
"No I don't", Ymir muttered, blushing a little.

"Do you know how I know?" Krista laughed, looking up at Ymir, "it's because you treat me so well. Better than anyone else. You're the best person I know!".
Ymir was shocked and this was one of the rare occasions in which she was speechless. She was not nice. She refused to be. She had to try not to be or else. She lived for herself. Was Krista just saying this to make her happy? She relaxed her shoulders and admiration filled her lungs.

"Fine. I'll take some bread too", she smiled, ruffling Krista's hair and ripping off a particularly large piece.

Ymir sat in the carriage opposite Hange on their way to the palace to see Historia.

"By the way, what did you lot spend that money on?", Hange asked out of curiosity.
"I bought a ring", Ymir told her, smiling proudly.
"That wouldn't be for her highness, would it?", Hange asked, slightly surprised.
"It would", Ymir replied.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?", Hange said, sternly.
"Don't worry", Ymir replied with a smile, "I know Historia. She's just like me. We try but we just can't help living for others and for eachother".

Just then, the carriage arrived and the palace. Ymir stuffed the red, velvet box containing the ring into her pocket and entered the palace, along with the rest of the Levi squad.

Once they entered the palace, they asked the maids to see the Queen but they seemed to be unsure as to where she was.
"I think I saw her with a suitor, earlier", one of them said, as she scurried off to look for her.
"Did she say suitor?", Ymir asked, shocked.
"We'll take you guests up to the living room while we go and fetch her highness", another maid told them, as she lead them up to the living room.

"She said suitor. Suitor", Ymir's voice rang, unable to process her thoughts. Her breathing had somewhat distorted too.
"Calm down, Ymir. Just because a maid assumed that she was with a suitor doesn't mean she actually is", Jean told her.
"Yeah, you're a bit too overprotective of Historia", Connie laughed.
"You're right", Ymir replied, trying to calm herself down.

Ymir took a seat on an armchair beside the window. Her eyes drifted towards the window as they waited. The window gave a beautiful view of the palace's rose garden, which was filled with pure, pearl coloured roses and was completely empty except for two figures.

Ymir sprung up from her seat and moved closer towards the window. One of the figures was a short blonde-haired girl in an elegant blue gown and she appeared to be smiling and talking to a taller light-haired man.

"I'm kill you!", Ymir screamed, as she marched out the room and towards the rose garden.
Her thoughts were all mixed up but all she knew was that she was ready to slay any dick-wielding beast that stepped near her Historia.
Armin and the rest of the Levi squad chased after the fuming Ymir.
