Not being able to leave the palace, Historia's day was even more dreary than usual, although the incident with the prisoner continuously bothered her. Even when she went to bed, she felt restless and couldn't bring herself to sleep.

"It could be her. It is her. Who else would it be?", Her mind kept repeating and she had long since tried to stop it.
It was no surprise that while she was drinking her tea the next morning, she almost choked and sprayed it out her nose when a guard burst in and told her that Zackly and Hange wanted to have a meeting with her.

"Let them in!", She commanded, putting her cup down and wiping her face with a handkerchief.
"Good morning, your highness", Hange and Zackly echoed as they took seats around her.
"Good morning, I hear that you wanted to speak to me?", She said.
"Yes, it concerns the prisoner that was placed in your highness' dungeon yesterday", Zackly replied.
"What about the prisoner?", Historia asked.

"Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my actions yesterday. I hope you understand why they were necessary. It was important that I discussed the situation with Commander Hange before I let you know anything but we've come to the decision to tell you about it now", Zackly told her, sounding completely unapologetic.
"Yes, I understand, so what is it that you'd like to tell me about the prisoner?", Historia replied, becoming impatient.

"The prisoner is someone you may have known", Hange said, an odd looking smile spread across her face, "her name is Ymir. She's a graduate of the 104th training corps like yourself and she's a titan shifter".
"Y-Ymir?", Historia stuttered. She had had the feeling it was Ymir but after actually confirming it, she was lost for words. Had Ymir really come back? Come back for her?
"Yes, she claims to have lost her titan power but we can't be sure which is why we are taking extra precautions", Zackly added, "and we are planning to trial her later today to see if she is a Marley spy".

"We've heard that she may have had an emotional connection with you so we don't want her to see you during the trial", Hange explained, "however, we still want you to be present so you will stand behind her since she'll be hand cuffed and unable to turn around".

A tiny "okay", was all Historia could squeeze out her dried up throat. Her mind started to flood with thoughts as she said goodbye to General Zackly and Commander Hange.

After they left, she sat alone in deep thought. Her mind was flooded with emotions but she could barely tell what they were. She had spent the past four years wondering where Ymir was. Her heart had been burning to receive information on her. Knowing that Ymir was being kept in a dungeon a few floors underneath her didn't comfort her at all.

"I'm so glad we were partnered", Ymir chuckled, as she put her arms around Krista, squeezing her close, "the other team don't stand a chance against us!"
"I don't know. They have Marco. He's pretty fast", Krista replied, looking up at Ymir's face.

"All we have to do it make our way to the other side of this wood without either of us being captured by the other team", Ymir smiled.
"I suppose", Krista said, unsure.
"Ha, you know that I won't let any of them lay a finger on you", Ymir laughed, ruffling Krista's soft, blonde hair.

At that exact moment, Jean swooped in on his manoeuvre gear, grabbing Krista and fled through the trees.
"Jean you bastard! How dare you take my beloved Krista away from me while we were having such a peaceful, romantic walk in the woods!" Ymir screamed with rage, hooking her manoeuvre onto a tree to go after them.
She chased him across the woods. Although Jean wasn't bad with his manoeuvre gear, Ymir was faster and Jean was slowed down by the struggling Krista, who he was trying to hold onto. Marco attempted to stop Ymir but it was almost impossible.
Eventually, Jean accidentally dropped Krista but Ymir managed to catch her before she hit the ground.

"Thanks for rescuing me Ymir!", Krista beamed.
"No problem, my darling", Ymir smiled back.
They realised that the chase had lead them all the way to the other side of the woods, where they were meant to go to win. Ymir picked Krista up and sprinted to their destination to win the task against Marco and Jean.
After the task, Ymir attempted to beat up Jean for trying to 'steal Krista' but Krista stopped her by stepping in between the fight.

On their way back for dinner, Ymir blabbered about how much better she was with her manoeuvre gear than Jean.
"That was probably the best lesson we've had so far! We're such a great team, aren't we, Krista?!", Ymir exclaimed.
"Well, I feel like it was mainly you doing the work", Krista replied.
"Nonesense, at least you learned an important lesson today. I hope you'll never forget it", Ymir said, pulling Krista towards her.
"I did?", Krista replied, confused.
"Yes, you learned that I'll always come for you, no matter what. You just have to hang in there for a while", she smiled.

"Oh, thanks", said Krista, her cheeks becoming more and more rosy.
"Awww! You're so adorable when you blush!", Ymir squealed, pulling on the sides of Krista's cheeks.
