Epilogue

The voices did ring in Historia's mind from time to time. Sometimes she would even see images. Such painful yet familiar images. A story told in a different point of view.

"Fate is neither friend nor enemy. It brought us together but it also made us suffer"

Was it another soul inside her? No. It was hundreds. Hundreds of other stories and memories. They all belonged to her now. They had merged with her in such a way that she would never again be able to tell how she would have ended up living, without them.

There was one voice in there, however, that appeared to be much louder than the others. One voice that seemed to guide her rather than haunt her. Was it still alive? No. It was just bound by its old marriage vow.

"Regardless of the circumstances, even if my body is bleached to the bone, for the remainder of my life and, if possible, all eternity"

The world was still broken, Paradis was at war and countless innocent people had been killed. There was no 'humanity' in some people. Everyone was fighting for their own survival. Everyone was living for themselves.

And amoungst all that...

One girl promised to stay by her lover's side. She would keep that promise, even beyond death. Even if they were unable to touch or properly communicate with eachother, they would be together for eternity.

Never again would Historia be abandoned.
