(2 years later)

Me and Jonah were sat on my bed, opposite each other on our phones while fighting with just our feet. It was like deja vu from when our parents got engaged. Mom and dad walked into our room and sat like they did before, mom on Jonah's side and dad on mine. Although this time they didn't look as happy as they did previously.
"Kids, we have something we need to tell you guys." Dad started his face slowly deteriorating as he got more upset.
"What is it?" Jonah asked, curiously.
Mom and dad looked at each other with a sad smile and breathed in and out a couple times loudly.
"Well what is it?" I repeated getting slightly frustrated.

"We're getting a divorce."

I wasn't listening to anything after that. My life has been through so much and now divorce! It never ends. Our "parents" talked to us about what's going to happen and me and Jonah got the choice whether we want to stay as step brothers or not.

Me and Jonah were laid against the bedroom wall together just thinking. I just didn't know what to do about the whole situation.
"So what do you think we should do?" I asked Jonah messing his hair up. He gazed into my eyes with his own emerald sun beams.
"I think we should stop being brothers cy, I miss the old 'us'." He said smirking. Did this mean he wanted to get back together or what? Even if he wanted to, we would have to wait a while as first the divorce needs to happen and it should get a little less awkward. We just sat there talking about the whole situation for hours. To be honest I missed our long talks and close comforting we gave each other. It felt like the good times we had like back at the first sleepover.

Jonah held my hand and interlocked our fingers. I smiled at him slowly but all I got back was a look of desperate need. He wrapped his arms around my head.
"What are you doing Jonah?" I asked.
"Cyrus I've missed us so much and I want to continue what we started."
He leaned forward. So did I.

And we all lived happily ever after

End of story.
