20) The Truth

It's been kinda hard between me and Jonah recently. We decided to slowly stop doing things as a couple because we didn't want to make this harder than it already was. We were playing some games together because we couldn't do much else whilst it was raining heavy outside. It was a Saturday evening which meant it was a family night. And sure enough my mom called from downstairs.
"BOYS! Family time!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. We turned the console off and walked downstairs discussing what movie we wanted to watch tonight. We entered the lounge, mom was in her usual spot and Jonah's dad in his. We made our way to the couch and sat next to each other.
"Sooo what are we gonna watch tonight?" I asked.
"Actually, tonight we're not watching a movie. Instead we will be looking through old photos and videos of you both!" My mom said smiling. Me and Jonah just grinned at each other like oh no.

At the moment we were watching a video of Jonah and his first time he played frisbee. He looked so cute. No, Cyrus he's gonna be your step brother soon so cut it out. It suddenly switched to a video of me dancing to a song. I could hear Jonah say 'aww' and I just blushed slightly. There was a knock at the door so I decided to go and get it. I opened it up to Andi and Buffy. "Oh hey guys what are you doing here?" I said confused.
"Your PARENTS invited us around and said we could stay for a sleepover." Buffy said pushing me out the way playfully and walking in saying hey to everyone. We all sat down and continued to watch he clips.
"Ooh look at this one with Jonah's most recent boyfriend." Jonah's dad said laughing.

Oh. My. God. It was me. But it was so blurry because I moved so you couldn't notice me. Well... nobody except Andi, Buffy, Jonah and I. We kind of just all gulped at once and laughed the best we could. " ooh that reminds me, Cyrus has one of him and his old boyfriend somewhere." She flicked through the videos and photos until she found it. It looked blurry at first until I realised it was a video.

She pressed play and I saw something I hoped no one would ever see. Especially now. "Okay so this is Cyrus and he is with his boyfriend Jonah!" The lady in the video said. Everyone stopped, Time stopped, the universe had just imploded and was ripped into shreds. Ok slight exaggeration but you get the point. Mom and Jonah's dad had their mouths wide open, speechless. Andi and Buffy wished they'd never come. And Jonah, he.. he was so upset that they couldn't remember they were dating before.

"Umm." Was all anyone could say, because what else could they say.

Andi and Buffy went upstairs so we could chat. "Guys, how could we be so blind. Why didn't you mention it?" My mom asked.
"Mom it's not either of you guys faults. Me and Jonah are still together but we were going to break up." I said with a tear in my eye.
"Cyrus no me and your mom will break u.."
"No steve!" I shouted, and I actually used his real name.
"I want both you and mom to be happy and it would be less awkward if you two got married than if we continued to date." We talked for about an hour before we decided what to do."
