Kennedy told me to come downstairs when I was ready. I didn't see the harm, so i headed down. I stopped at the staircase when I heard voices. I would've kept walking, but I heard my name.
I moved closer to the doorway where the voices were coming from.
"We can't keep her ass here. Shes gonna get us caught."
"I'll handle her ass Ferg, chill."
"She almost got out. What if she try that shit again? Then what?"
"I say we just get rid of her ass." My eyes widen and my heart thudded out my chest.
"It'll make shit easier for us." I headed back up the stairs and started to panic. I chewed my lip started to think. I pushed the dresser in front of the door, along with the desk and the chair that was with it. I paced and tugged on my hair.
Then there was a knock followed by someone trying to get in the room.
"Amber what the fuck?!" Rocky exclaimed. He slammed into the door causing me to jump.
"Amber!" I was frozen in my spot. I screamed as he busted through the door, knocking down everything as he did so.
"I'm getting tired of this shit." He huffed moving to me. I would've ran but I had no where to go.
"I'm not gonna fucking die in this house!" I yelled while fighting against him. He scrunched up his face and gripped my wrists.
"You're not gonna die, what the fuck are you talking about?" I continued trying to fight out of his grasp.
"I heard you and your friends!" He grunted trying to keep his grip. He moved me to the bed and pinned me down.
"Relax! Nobody's gonna hurt you, ight. You just need to learn to chill. I swear I'm not going to hurt you." I glared at him. He got up and held his hands up defensively. I sat up and moved away from him.
"We're going to be here awhile. I'm still healing from my bullet wounds, but you keep opening up my damn stitches. You kicking my friends in the face, knocking out my guards like come on man." He sighed.
"I'm suppose to be okay with you kidnapping me?"
"You grown it's not really considered kidnapping." He shrugged. I shook my head.
"Are you stupid?" He shrugged again.
"Maybe a little." I threw my arms up. He stood up.
"Look, I have to go, we can talk later." I scoffed.
"I don't want to talk to you. I don't even want to see you." He sighed and nodded.
"I'm sorry." He said before walking out. I huffed and rubbed my face. A little while later, Kennedy came up and told me they were gone but her friends were here. I followed her down the stairs and into the livingroom.
"Amber this is Sasha, Tina, and Candace." She introduced. They all smiled and said hi. I didn't want to be rude so I gave them a small smile.
I sat down next to Kennedy and listened to them talk. They all went through the same thing I did. Only difference is, they're happy.
"He buys me whatever I want, when I want, and I get good dick on the regular." The Sasha girl said, making her friends nod in agreement. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You don't miss your family? You're old life?" She shook her head.
"I write to my family often, to let them know I'm good and safe. They write back saying how much they miss me stuff like that. They gave up on trying to bring me home. As of my old life. I don't miss it at all. I'm a new person now. I'm living my life, my best life." She shrugged.
"What about you? What's your life like?" Candace asked.
"Well. My mom's a OBGYN Surgeon while my dad is a neurosurgeon. I went to private school, then nursing school-"
"That's what your parents wanted for you right?" Tina interrupted.
"Well yeah, but I wanted it to. I love helping people. I planned on going back to school so I could become a pediatric Surgeon. But now I don't see that happening." I sighed while playing with my fingers.
"What about a boyfriend?" Kennedy asked. I smiled softly.
"James. I met him my freshman year of college."
"So he's a nurse?" Tina asked. I nodded.
"Yup." They chuckled. I raised my eyebrow.
"What's funny?"
"Girl you don't need no nurse. You need you a real man. Like Rocky." Candace smiled. I scoffed.
"Real man my ass. He ain't shit." They laughed.
"You say that now. Just wait."
