My jaw clenched as did my fist.
"Well, you must not have heard. Or you really got some balls. See, I was slowly but surely on my way to kill your ass. But you came to me. Which makes everything easier." He sighed.
"Can I explain?" I shook my head and looked back at the fight. Mike was knocked down again and that was the end of that round. I made my way over as they sat him down.
"You're doing good baby. He's too concerned with protecting his face, everything else is unguarded. Knock his ass out." I told him.
"What she said." His trainer said. I made my way back to my seat as the secound round started. Rocky was still there.
"Look, I was going to come back for you I swear. But I-"
"I don't care. You gave me up. I understand you wanted your brother, but I could've helped you figure something out."
"Luther is untouchable there was nothing else-"
"He's not a problem anymore. I handled that, on my own. And now I run the biggest cartel in the states." He stared at me in shock but stayed quiet.
"All that talk about you caring about me was bullshit. And I should've known." He grabbed my hands but I pushed him back.
"Amber, I swear I care about you. Can we just go somewhere and talk?"
"You have five seconds to get out of my face before I shoot your ass. And that's a promise." He sighed and nodded.
"You look good."
"I know. Now bye." I waved. He nodded walking away. I turned my attention back to the fight. Mike won the next round. As the fight continued, they were both beaten up pretty bad. I wanted to intervene but Mike got him down for the count.
I smiled happily and made my way over as the place erupted in cheers for him. His team was hugging him, congratulating him, and trying to patch him up all at the same time. I made my way in the ring and up to him.
"Congrats." He smirked.
"Come here." He said before grabbing me by my waist and pulling me in for a kiss. I was shocked but kissed back.

The next morning, I was up bright and early to get ready for my family to come. But before they came, I was to do an interview about what happened and how I got where I am. A knock at my door interrupted me.
"Ms. Davis, the reporter is here." One of my guards said. I nodded.
"Let her in and help her set up. I'll be down soon." He nodded leaving. I stood in my mirror checking myself over.
Michael came out the bathroom and stood behind me.
"You think they'll buy it?" He asked while holding up my hand that had two beautiful rings sitting on my finger.
"Of course they will." He smiled and kissed my cheek before grabbing my hand and leading me downstairs. The cameraman was just about ready.
I walked over to the reporter and smiled shaking her hand. We introduced ourselves before sitting down.
"Okay, so before we get into what everyone wants to know, tells us about you." The reporter said.
"Well, I was born and raised in New York. I lived in the Bronx for most of my childhood until my parents started making good money in the medical field. I followed in my parents footsteps and went to nursing school. I like helping people, but I wanted to do more. I was planning to go back to school actually until everything happened." She nodded.
"Can you tell us exactly what happened the night you went missing?" She asked. I nodded.
"I was driving home and was stuck at a red light. He came up to my car with a gun and made me open the door for him. He was shot multiple times but still managed to hold me at gunpoint. He realized I was a nurse and he told me to help him or else he'd hurt my family."
"So you helped him?" I nodded.
"I patched him up at the motel. I begged him to let me go, but he denied it. Then the police came and he... he shot them." She nodded.
"What happened after that?"
"He told me we were going to Virginia to meet up with his friends. He brought me to this house and kept me locked up in a room the whole time. I tried to escape a few times, but couldn't."
"Did he ever get physical with you?" She asked. I nodded softly.
"Okay continue."
"I stayed in that house for months. Until one day, he decided to throw a party. That's where I met Michael. He got me out of there. He saved me." I left out everything else that happened so that no suspicions were raised. Mike smiled and squeezed my hand.
"I see rings. What're those about?" Michael chuckled softly.
"I knew from the moment I saw her, that I had to have her apart of my life. When I found out what happened to her, i wanted to get her away."
"And he did. He eventually asked me to marry him and I couldn't say no." I smiled. The reporter smiled as well.
"Congratulations you two. So after the sudden death of your father, my condolences by the way, are you taking over with running his night clubs and casinos?"
"The two of us are together." She nodded.
"So how are you going to balance your boxing career and your business career?" She asked him.
"It hasn't been difficult so far, so i don't see a problem." She nodded.
"And you? Are you going to further your education in the medical field?" She asked me.
"I havent decided yet. I really want to though." She asked us a few more questions before she thanked us for our time and left. I smiled and high fived Mike.
"Now Imma start cooking for my parents."
"Why don't you let the chef do it? Its his job."
"My mom doesn't eat food made by people she doesn't know." I shrugged. He nodded.
"Well I have to go to the bank, but I'll be back in time for dinner." He told me. I nodded and watched him leave. I went to the kitchen to start cooking. While I was preparing everything, I felt like someone was behind me. I reached up into the cabinet and grabbed my pistol. I turned around swiftly pointing it at I realized was Rocky.
"I just wanna talk." He said while holding his hands up.
