(Daryl's POV)
I had seen where Tigress had left to and went back inside to grab some water for her. I still didn't like her but she had been puking after a rough night and I knew that Rick would feel bad if something happened to someone who he had just let in and who had a child. I was upset at how she had reacted at me being kind to her. I made my way back to where I had last seen her, as I rounded the corner I saw her and Gabreial hugging. My stomach clenched a little at the sight, she had flinched when Rick had tried to touch her but here she could be hugged by a male friend without flinching at all.
As they broke their hug I saw her turn towards me and then Gabreial follow soon after and gently push Tigress towards me. I notice she sighed and made her way to where I stood, I saw she noticed the bottle of water in my hands and smirked for a second as she looked back up my smirk dropped and my normal face showed again.
She stopped in front of me "Look I'm sorry for how I acted and I guess have been acting. I don't trust people and even though your group has basically opened your arms up to us, I'm still having a hard time trusting you. So again I am sorry and I will try to be more friendly and trusting I guess because my people seem to have good feelings about you and yours," She apologized.
"This world is shit so I don' blame ya fer not trustin' people," is all I said as I handed her the bottle of water.
"Um, thanks for understanding," Tigress told me with a small smile taking the water.
*She has a nice smile.* I thought and then shook my head at the thought. *No, jus' no. She may be pretty badass but no.*
She took a small drink and then asked pretty quickly "Do you think you can show me around the compound so that I could get a layout of the place? I just want to know where all the exits are."
I smirked a little at her "Yeah I can show ya."
I saw her turn towards Gabe and give a quick thumbs up and a small smile. She turned back towards me and made a gesture to head back into the prison, I nodded at her and we both started to make our way back inside. I kept glancing at her, I still couldn't trust her and even though she was trying I doubted she could really trust us.
I lead the way into the prison and started showing her where everything was and the way around. "This here is th' tower, it's my area. I stay up here ta keep watch and usually sleep," I explained.
"Higher elevation is a good tactical advantage when you are in a warfare type situation and with the dead walking around this is actually a good vantage point. You can see all around and if you were a sniper it would be the perfect place to take out the enemy, personally, I also prefer to be in a higher area where I can see the area better," She explained.
She actually said something somewhat personal about herself which was kind of shocking and she also showed her history with fighting when she said that. *What a confusing person she is, she's broken obviously but she is also very strong. I'm still not happy that she could hurt me though.*
"I used to do some sniping myself I was trained pretty aggressively by my mentor before I started working for the president. He was a sweet guy but he took his training seriously and pushed all of his proteges to their limits," she explained while touching the window that gave the view of the rest of the prison, she sighed. "I don't even know if he would still be proud of me and like the person I have become. I wish I knew if he was still alive and not one of those things."
I stared at her shocked that she would reveal something very personal like that. *Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like she is really trying to trust at least just a little bit.*
