Soulmate

My lola said your soulmate has a same lines on his/her palms as you. But I didn't believe her. I got myself busy from school works and barely even touched my phone.

Until mama, came running to me and said the most heartbreaking words..

It felt like my whole world crashed. I fell on my knees and cried. My bestfriend died.
The next day I decided to visit his wake. When I was about to leave I heard my lola called me and said "Look at his palm."

Instead of answering I left with looking back.

I felt empty when I saw him lying there peacefully. That he didn't bother waking up.
I walked carefully down the aisle of grief and tears.

I sobbed as I got to feel his cold features with my warm hands at it opened.

I was reminded by my lola's voice inside my head and quickly grabbed his hands. I scanned his cold palms as I look at my warm palms. I broke down.

My soulmate was by my side all along. It was too late.
