Today casting began for the female roles. I hadn't seen the script but today was supposed to be some sort of chemistry test. This is the next step to making all of this real. Being cast as Spider-Man had changed everything in my life. I was so excited to really make my acting dreams come.

My mate Harrison is along for this ride with me. He's looking at the list of the actresses. I see a few names I recognize but most I have never heard of. I'm sure they have never heard of me either. One name does catch my eye, Zendaya. It was a really unique name.

I had a few minutes so I decided to check my messages, huge mistake. Elle had texted. Elle and I had been together for a long time, but once I left to film Civil War, things just fell apart. Admittedly, I had gotten caught with being in America and around all my childhood idols, that I forgot to make Elle a priority. It started with being late to our scheduled calls and delays in replying to texts messages which led to missed phone calls and non-existent text responses. She was angry and rightfully so. When I got back home I tried to make it up to her but it always led to another argument. Finally I just go fed up. The memories of our last conversation flooded back...
"Elle, for the thousandth time I'm sorry for not calling..." I said.
"But why, that's all I'm asking!" Elle screamed back.
"I've told you, I just got distracted by everything, that was all." I pleaded.
"I know, it just doesn't make sense. Are you sure that was it? Was there someone else?"she whispered the last bit.
"There wasn't anyone else." I murmured back. That was true. There wasn't anyone else.
"Elle, I can't do this anymore." I said flatly.
"What?!" her voice cracked.
"I've tried..we've tried, but this.." I waved my hands between us "is not working." I felt the tears well up in my eyes, I wasn't being callous. I loved Elle, for four years she had been my confident, best friend and lover. All that was coming to an end. I saw the devastation on her face.
"Elle..." I reached out to touch her hand. She recoiled.
"Don't you dare touch me. Don't talk to me. Just forget I ever existed." She spat and stormed off.

I hated the way we ended things and I tried reaching out but no response. But now, today of all days. A text from Elle is staring me in the face. Harrison jolts me back to reality. And I look at the names again. Then I remember, Zendaya, I had seen her on YouTuble dancing in her car. This would be an interesting day.
