Chapter Eleven

Is Ray feeling alright??? Is he good??? My thoughts were interrupted when-

"Why, why not?" Don and Gilda asked in unison, it's so hard to tell them...

"Because they're-" before Emma could finish her sentence, Ray interrupted her.

"Because they're dead..." Ray said in a serious tone but also a gentle tone.

"We lied... there's no bad guys. there's monsters. were living on a farm." Norman said truthfully. Don and Gilda stood still, I looked at Don mainly seeing how his fists is beginning to clench...

Don started to laugh... I knew he was about to start something, by the way he tightened his fist. Seeing him heading for Emma, Ray took action...

"Don!" Ray shouted angrily, as Don turned around and punched Ray.

I realised Don was going to punch me after, looking at him stomping his feet towards me. I was scared and nervous, I closed my eyes as of trying to protected myself. I then heard a punch but I didn't feel it??? Which caused me to open my eyes to Norman in front of me, holding his cheek while laying on the floor. I was about to bend down and offer to help him, but Don gripped my collar and pulled me off the ground choking me a little.

"Don stop it!" Gilda shouted trying to grab his attention, in order for him to realise what he had done. It seemed to have worked though

Don paused, glaring at Gilda but it slowly faded into a sad expression. Don then looked back at me.

"Why did you guys lie to us?!" Don cried out in anger, I looked at him in pity...

"Are we that weak, so you think we are in need of protection?! I see the way you guys look at us!! Like we are weak and I'm done with it!!" Don cried out shaking his head in annoyance before letting me go, making me collapse hard onto the ground watching as he heads out the front door...

As Gilda ran after him, Norman helped me up thanking him for protecting me. I hear Emma thanking Ray for defending her, as she gave him a hug after she spoke. Wait did I just see Ray smile or am I hallucinating from the lack of air I had been inhaling...

||Don pov||

I ran outside, nearly tripping I stopped as I heard my name being called out. I turn around to see Gilda...

"Don..." Gilda spoke gently, as she walked closer to me.

"Are we that weak??" I asked weakly, due to my previous sobbing...

"No. we are not." Gilda answered seriously as she placed a hand on my shoulder.

"We are not weak, we are strong" Gilda said as she sounded serious. I gave her a genuine smile right after those words... I'm great full for her...
