Callie walked out of Cuttlefish Cabin, in casual wear, stretching as she overlooked part of Octo Canyon. It wasn't that long, perhaps a few weeks, since she was 'rescued' from Octavio's clutches by Marie and some kid, someone her cousin called Agent 4.

Callie didn't mind her capture at all. She really needed a vacation, and even though getting gifted a pair of hypnoshades was an odd way to start it, it was a rather eye-opening experience for her. Though, Marie didn't seem convinced.

She looked over to a cracked snowglobe, its only occupant floating lazily inside. It was Octavio, a larger-than-usual octopus. He floated inside, looking upwards towards the sky.

"Yo, Cal," he said, getting the girl's attention. "Noticed the sky lookin' all green and stuff?"

She looked up. "Doesn't look green to me."

Of course, she didn't mind talking to Octavio, especially when Marie's away. Speaking of...

"Did you see Marie go anywhere?" she asked.

"Hm?" he answered. "Oh, yeah. She'd be in town for somethin'. Guessin' it's for more food."

"I really hope she comes back before it rains," she said, sitting down on the ledge in front of the cabin. The wind began to pick up, enough to move Callie's tentacles. She was already used to how windy it got, though, it seemed a lot windier than usual. Eventually, it'd sweep Callie's tentacles, making them seem lighter than they really are.

Octavio watched from the safety of his snowglobe. He then swam straight, looking in the direction of Inkopolis. "Clouds lookin' dark over there," he commented. "Must be some storm ya cousin be bravin' out."

At this point, Callie became worried. The rain would most definitely hurt her cousin out there. She stood up to pace, but the strong gale forced her to sit back down. She soon felt something cold and wet hit her cheek. Wiping it off, she noticed it didn't feel the way rainwater would feel. To her, touching it felt slick, and it made that area feel numb. Almost as if it were enemy ink.

She quickly took a look at her fingertips. Smeared onto them was some kind of faded green ink. It seemed to alarm Octavio, as tiny drops fell onto the glass. "Think someone activated some kinda ink storm device in town?" he asked, backing himself away.

Marie soon emerged out of the sewer grate, holding a few bags of groceries. Her mask was on, and she seemed scared. Her clothes were splattered with the same ink Callie noticed was on her cheek. As soon as she came, Marie rushed over to the cabin, despite the wind forcing her off course. Callie soon stood up, keeping her balance on the outside walls.

"Marie, what's going on?" she began.

"Callie, get inside!" her cousin yelled, moving past her.

She began to go in after Marie, but soon looked behind her. The ink seemed to be falling in larger clumps, and Callie began to worry about Octavio being out there. Sure, the glass was broken, but it was durable enough that he wouldn't be able to get out. And yet, that was the problem she thought about. He wouldn't be able to get out if the ink covered the dome completely, and what if the dome wasn't strong enough to cover him in the first place?

Callie quickly went inside, coming out with a sledgehammer. Braving the wind and the falling ink, she only made it halfway before her cousin called out to her.

"Callie, what are you doing?" Marie asked.

"We gotta get him inside!" she yelled out in reply.

"What? Are you nuts? He squidnapped you and you're taking him inside?"

Callie was right in front of the globe. "Better alive than dead! Stand back, Octavio."

As the large octopus backed as far as he could, Callie began to swing at the glass in front of him. Her first swing made a sizable crack in the glass. One more swing, she thought.

"Callie, are you absolutely serious right now?" she heard her cousin yell from the doorway. "If it turns out you're brainwashed again I'm--."

"Can you not talk about that now?" she yelled, giving a fierce swing at the glass once more. She managed to break it, causing a small hole to form. She kept swinging, making the hole bigger. Soon enough, the hole seemed big enough that Octavio could slip through.

Marie sighed. The hole Callie made seemed just about overkill at that point, and it was going to take a while to patch it up, as well as clean the whole area of the broken shards.

Callie soon made her way into the cabin with Octavio, sliding the door closed behind her. The area wasn't as large, what with their nemesis being inside with them, but there was enough space for all of them to move around and sit around. She looked over to Marie, wordlessly putting away the groceries she brought in.

Once she was done, Marie would have to confront Callie about her decision to free Octavio.
