thank you so much to everyone who's entering!! there are already some entries in, and they're so different from how I imagined the characters, phew; it's really reassuring ^^
(i was kinda worried there wouldn't be much variation, but it seems like that won't be a problem!)im really happy about this you guys
i hope to see some more entries soon!!
ok onto art
(i didn't know which picture to post, so like why not both)
really proud of how this turned out!! I mostly didn't use references, except for this one moment where I caught myself in the mirror and stared at my arm for maybe a full minute, but we don't talk about that, see?
but yeah, the emotions come through, I think, not to mention that I love the pose!
sooh oh yeah! so I drew this @ a live music café, there was a mini stage and a small row of stage lights, a keyboard, a guitar, a drum set, and a saxophone (my band director from a few years ago!)
you don't know this but I love jazz and to those who don't—you're missing out :P
if I hadn't mentioned before? I play clarinet 🎶
anyway this was really nice
i love these cafés with live music, I'm actually kinda surprised how many there are near where I live that I don't hear aboutoh and look what they have lol
the white space said the name of where i live so–
also really cute dog cards!!
i hope to return someday :3anyway for the last song, a girl who worked at the cafe sang with the group
sooo friday I had Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra kinda in my head, and while they were figuring out microphone difficulties, I was thinking back to the last time I head someone sing with a group like this and remembering that the song was Fly Me to the Moon.
and so the girl is up there, waiting for her mic to be ready, and she kinda quietly sings, "fly me to the moon," and I'm just like oh I can't believe it, yes and she was really good
and lmao she got an encore and was like "no, that's the last one" and a second later she turned to the band and said, "summertime?"
i don't know that song, but she uhh she kinda put her camisole strap a little down and her shirt kinda off her shoulder and tossed her hair andanyway I drew this there
ok bye seeya keep that inspiration flowing, to the contest enterers, you've got this! I can't wait to see more entries, have a lovely evening, night, or day, goodbye!
