Well I obviously still don't understand ink pens *shrug
but here's what I apparently learned from Inktober!
take it or leave it
or argue with it
or suggest more that'd be cool1. Work right to left, don't let your hand smudge!
2. Pearl erasers can (sometimes) erase ink smudges!
3. Erasing your pencil framework before inking in can help you avoid smudging!
4. The pen I've been using not only makes lines on the paper, but lines in the paper as well..
5. Erasing pencil lines after inking in can make your lines fade!
6. ...However, that can allow you to make more contrasting dark and light lines and areas of ink! (<-excuse me?)
7. If it doesn't look right, sometimes it can be okay to keep adding lines!
8. Work out of your comfort zone, this is what Inktober is all about!
9. Pens will bleed. Use cover paper to protect your future pages!
10. crosshatching is boss you guysFell free to add in your own learnings either from your own experience with Inktober or from reading through mine!
oh dang that last part kinda covers what I said earlier
yeah I had this in the notes app (seriously love that thing to death, so many ideas—for character names & outfits, stories & other story elements—are stored in that app)
anyway yeah! this was fun!
but now i get to do other fun things hehehehhh :33
