1 - she actually stepped away from Chan when they started walking side by side
2 - it wasn't Chan's luggage - they both helped some random girl as she had like three cases and the top one was about to fall off the cart. that's when they walked next to each other.
He smiled at her, because it's smth you do when ppl help. smh.
3 - she didn't even look at him so she wouldn't make him feel uncomfortable
