The decision

Here I was standing just outside Starbucks where the guys told me to meet them, I can't bring myself to walk inside knowing that the rest of my life is behind this door. The people walking in and out were looking at me like I was crazy. I've been standing here for about an hour, debating whether to walk inside or not. Finally, I work up a little courage to walk in. Once I walked in I saw all the boys. Darren looked like he was ready to explode with anger.

"It's about time you arrived!" Darren spoke and yelled at the same time.

"S-sorry I c-couldn't find th- the courage t-to come today" I stuttered out still trying to find my courage.

"DARREN! Look what you've done now she's about to cry, how could be so mean she needs patience, this is a big choice for her to have to make." Quill yells at Darren.

'that escalated quickly' I thought to myself. I decided to speak up finally able to find my confidence.

"I'm not about to cry and it's not because of Darren I'm just nervous and scared of this choice and what it means"

"See, no need to yell or make a scene guys"  Issac spoke up looking at the people staring at us.

Darren glared at them one by one, they focused back on their own tables. I was however bright red from embarrassment, all confidence I had, forgotten and my stomach started to churn. My hands got sweaty and my mouth went dry. I couldn't make words any more, all that came out was a squeak.

"How about I get you something to drink? How does a lemon ice tea sound?" Vlad offered, he had a silent sorry in his eyes for what he did.

I had already forgiven him for it, as my parents used to say 'grudges never carry you far, best to forgive and forget while you're still breathing.' I gave him a thankful and forgiving smile. He then walked to the counter and ordered. The other boys all looked at me expectantly. After what seemed like forever Vlad came back with the drink. I took a sip thankful to the cold liquid now sliding down my throat. After another sip, I finally spoke up but I still withheld the words they all wanted to hear.

"You boys gonna drink something?"

Darren sighed and clicked his fingers. Different drinks appeared in front of each boy. Darren had a drink similar to mine just not lemon, Vlad had blood I was concerned about that, Nick had an iced mocha, quill had what looked like a long black with cold milk, Issac had water.

"What if someone sees that!" I whisper-yell at Darren pointing to Vlad's drink.

"Don't worry sweetheart only we can see what it actually is, everyone else sees an ice tea. Now stop stalling and tell us your decision" Darren replies with a tang of cockiness.

I bit my bottom lip and stare at my feet. Quill pulls my head up gently so I'm staring into his eyes.

"No matter who you choose, it's ok."

I feel a weight lift off my chest after those words. I take a beath and push any worries I had away
"I chose-"
Just as I was about to finish my sentence the door opened, I felt some sort of weird pull telling me to look at the person who walked through.

When I turned around I saw him............
