Today was a good day. We reported our findings to Jorleif, and showed him what we found in the house as proof of our suspicions of Wuunferth.
We waited in the hall while he took some guards and arrested the mage, and when they hauled him through the room, he was trying to convince Jorleif we had the wrong man. He said he had been trying to find the murderer himself, as though that was somehow a way to prove his innocence.
Once he was locked up, I asked Jorleif if he could vouch for me to Ulfric, but he said it would have to wait for the conclusion of Wuunferth's trial. I suppose that makes sense, but I was really excited to finally make Whiterun safe from Ulfric. I hope the trial is soon.
For now, Adelaisa and I have parted ways. She was an incredible help, and I let her know how much I appreciated everything she did. I'm going to head home for some time to see everyone. I'll probably spend the day tomorrow preparing and selling some potions at the market to make some coin to come home with, as I'm not sure I even have enough to get all the way home.
