Chapter 1 Curiosity

       As I hang up my last shirt in my closet, I look around and instantly fall in love with my room. My mom calls me "Eunoia can you come out I need you to run an errand for me". I come out of my room, shutting it quietly. She hands me the money with the list, and I look over to see what time it is. To my surprise it was 7:30 pm, in SF it would be 3:30 am you think I would be extremely tired right now. I put on my black hoodie, grey sweats, tie my hair up into a high ponytail, then put on my black sneakers and head out. A chilly breeze hits my cheeks as soon as I walk out the complex, I decided to leave my bike and walk. There are so many signs in different colors, shining very bright as the sun starts to set. I walk down a block or so, keeping my mom's money and list in my warm hoodie pocket. So many people fill these streets it's astonishing. 

     Finally, I made it to the store. I managed to get most of the stuff on the list by myself, and the rest with the help of a worker. As I walk out, I notice a limo parked near a cafe across the street from me. I peer from across the street to see the driver just silently waiting. "Must be someone rich around here" I said to myself. Finally, I'm home. I take off my sneakers, put away the items in the bags, and sit down on the couch waiting for my mom to finish cooking dinner. 

     Dinner was marvelous, per usual. By the time my mom and I finished cleaning up, it was 10:19 pm. I told my mom goodnight and got ready for bed. After I finally finished washing my face, I changed into some comfy pajamas and headed to my balcony. I love the open space and the cold breeze. Eventually, I closed the balcony door, turned off the lights, set my alarm for 6 am, and went to sleep nervously thinking about my first day of school tomorrow.
