Chapter 10 You And I

       When I wake up, I look over to see Meraki sleeping on my shoulder soundly. I look at him. He is so beautiful when he is sleeping, that I blushed and look away. I remembered that we were still outside on the balcony. I looked up to see the clock read 9:00 am. I almost screamed but, shoved it down. I did NOT want to get up since I really liked Meraki on my shoulder. I could hear the people down on the streets already up.  A new dawn was arriving, and I was truly ready. I thought about all of those in the past who have wronged me. I felt as if I couldn't be myself anymore, but I stopped when I met my new friends, especially Meraki. Meraki is someone I can be myself around, in return he does the same. As I watched him his eyes began to flicker with conscious, so I quickly faked going back to sleep. I heard him get up, placing my head on the pillow and grabbing his phone to call someone. "My father will have the lot of me," he said. He went into my room to have the conversation than a few minutes later I got up and walked in the room. He looked up at me then said, "hey sleep well? I know I did, your body is very comfortable to lay on." I blushed then smirked. "I slept well too," I say. "Well might as well come to get some breakfast with me, my mom has left to work. He rushes over past me heading to the kitchen.

       If my mom were home she would go crazy. I watch Meraki, as he goes through all of the cabinets looking for a spoon. He finally looks up at me in defeat, then I walk past him go through a drawer pulling out a spoon. I handed it to him then he sits down and eats. I wasn't hungry so I just started scrolling through my phone. "Hey Eun, where did you get that necklace?" I looked up at him then said it was from a boy I had met in SanFrancisco. He looked as if it was his, then dismissed the thought. I quickly realized today was Sunday meaning I'm supposed to have my friends over. The clock read 10:30, they would be here in 45 minutes. I asked Meraki if he is still gonna hang out he said yes, then shows me a bag with spare clothes. I was so puzzled, how did he know- nevermind. I ran into the shower leaving my necklace and Meraki in my room. I am very quick in the shower, by the time I come out it's only been 10 minutes. I headed to my room and signaled Meraki to hop in, handing him a  towel from my cabinet. As he is showering I am cleaning up around the house, inspecting any mess I might see. By the time he gets out, I am chilling on my bed looking out my window. 

        "So anything you wanna talk about" I suggested. "Yeah, actually there is" I looked up at him. "Do you like me?"
