See I've built up this wall
It's not very high because I don't want to build
I have loved people hard
And instead of reciprocation,
I get a brick
To build my wall higher
To protect myself from the ice-cold fire that is rejection
So that's why I'm afraid to move towards love
Though I know I'm called to
Open up and be vulnerable with you
Because you have the power to
Do what you will do with
The piece of my heart I've set aside for you
So please,
Be careful
Don't drop me
I'm fragile
Like you.
