my view has turned inside out
the negatives
becoming positives
and tears
becoming laughter
i keep saying it
but
i have maybe never in my life been so hopeful
and thrilled
for my future
my dreams
seemed
far out of reach
but i know
i am brave
and determined
and while they may be far
i will do anything
everything
in my power to reach them
i'm not sure
if i believe
in destiny
but now i know
i am meant for more
than what i have been
i no longer will hide behind
my insecurities
i no longer will hold myself back
i will live my life as it was meant to be lived
with meaning
(i don't know what's changed i really don't but maybe the stars have smiled upon me for once in their millennia of careful watching, waiting)
