Chapter 7

The next day at school I was exhausted. I had a hard time trying to go to sleep because my mind just kept playing a repeat of what happened the day before over and over again.

I told my friends everything that happened and they all had the same reaction as me; they were all incredibly shocked. I suppose it's because none of us saw this happening since Leonardo literally never showed any kind of affection towards me before, and then boom, he's admitting his feelings towards me.

I hadn't seen Leo today at school which was a big relief because I needed some time away from him. It didn't help that he consumed my thoughts all day, but at least I didn't seem him physically.

I was sitting at our usual lunch table with Victoria and Claire when Elena came up to us out of breath. She threw her bag on the table and leaned over trying to catch her breath.

"What the hell happened to you?" Victoria asked Elena.

"I just saw," she took a pause to catch her breath, "Damon walk through the front doors," she took another pause, "with Leonardo." She finally sat down taking sips of water.

"Oh no," my eyes widened, I was really hoping that I wouldn't see him today.

"Yeah and he was heading the same direction that I was, which is here," she told me.

"Guys I've gotta get out of here, I don't wanna see him," I told them rushed.

"Why don't we just go to the library?" asked Claire.

"No, he would probably check there only after coming here, Aria's a nerd," Victoria said. I gave her a glare, "No offense Aria, keep up the great grades!"

"Great well where do we go then?" I asked the group.

"We could just stay here and Aria could face him," Elena suggested.

"No, that won't work, she's too awkward," Claire said with her hand on her chin as if she was thinking.

"Alright enough with the insults, I don't wanna see him so tick tock ladies. We have to think of something before he gets here." I told them looking panicked now.

"Let's just go to the bathroom, I mean he can't go in there," Victoria did have a point.

"Well, what are we waiting for, let's go!" I rushed them and we all quickly stood up grabbing our bags and speed walking out of the lunchroom.

We finally reached the bathroom and let out a sigh of relief. We were safe for now.

"We'll just stay in here until lunch is over which is in," Elena looked down at her watch, "seven minutes."

We all proceeded just checking our makeup and hair before a knock came at the door. We all looked stunned because who the hell knocks on the door of a public bathroom? The four of us looked at each other trying to decide who would open the door.

Finally, Claire threw open the door and standing in front of her was Damon. "What are you doing here?" She asked him with confusion in her eyes. That wasn't who I was expecting to see.

"I've been asked to get Aria," he said casually trying to look around Claire to see if I was in the room.

"Well she's not here, try again another time," Claire said closing the door.

The three of us looked at her stunned. She literally just closed the door on the future second in command of the mafia.

"Why did he come here looking for me?" I asked the girls.

"Oh my God, Leonardo found you," Elena whisper shouted.

"What do we do? We can't go out with Damon standing there," I whisper-shouted back. I did not ask for this much drama today.
