Author's Note: The new story..... It's currently 10:11 pm where I am as I write this.... My brother has stressed me out again. I listened to Ren singing "Lua"... The concepts and cover art are coming up next.

 Scar's POV:

The storm weighted me down. I had been forced to use my crutches because of this storm weakening both Cub and my own magic. Cub was beside me as we searched for any sign of the others.

" Scar, you shouldn't have come out here." Cub's tail was out and twitching as I sighed. I fixed my hat tighter to my head. I was probably going to get a cold after this... I honestly didn't care though.

I looked down at Cub as the lightning flashed behind me casting a shadow. Cub took a step back as his tail twitched again.

The two of us sighed as we looked around. TFC had reported that Wels and Python were currently in danger as well. He said that he was going to go out, but Cub and I told him that he was still hurt from the tree falling on him. X was thankfully taking care of him though.

" It should be by the skyscraper here." Cub pointed forward as he pulled his coat up to better protect his face.

The muffled sound of screaming echoed in the air. Cub perked up and ran in the direction of the screams. It seemed that he could actually pinpoint the location better than I ever could.

" I HATE THE RAIN!" Python shouted through the storm. Python and Wels were hanging on for dear life from a rope that was hastily tied to a fence post.

" NO REALLY PYTHON! NO REALLY!" Wels shouted back as he gripped tighter to Python's leg. I looked down at Cub as he nodded quickly. The two of us hurried over to the rope and grabbed on to it.

Wels looked down at us, " THE WIND'S TOO - AROUND HERE! GET OUT- LIFT - TOO!" Wels's voice kept getting cut off by sharp blows from the wind. Cub and I continued to try to pull the two back down to terra firma.

The water was drenching us as the dirt below my feet turned to slick mud. Struggling with my crutches and the rope, I kept pulling down to try and save Wels and Python. Cub let out a growl, " We're going to get ourselves -Gah!- hurt at this rate Scar!"

" What are we suppose to do then!?" I looked at him as some lightning lit up his face. Cub wasn't the kind of guy to show fear, but I could see the worry and panic in his eyes as he looked up at our floating friends.

Cub's tail twitched as he shook off some rain water and growled when it hit his eyes. He breathed heavily, " I don't know Scar! I've never been in a storm like this!" his voice was rising.

The two of us looked at the rope as it started to slip. There was something else that was slipping as well.

 Me.

I yelped as the ground from under me snapped away like a carpet into the sky. Cub let out a yelp as he tried to grab me while trying to grab the rope.

This didn't work though. Cub grabbed both, yes, but the ground below him had other ideas. This sent the four of us spiraling to the portal that opened up like a tear in the sky.

Cub took out his communicator causing TFC to immediately answer.

" TINFOIL! WE'RE GETTING SUCKED IN!" Cub shouted as a growl came from the other end. I couldn't understand what the elder hermit was saying, " NO- NOT- " those were the only words I could pick up as we all passed through the portal. I remember my crutches coming with us to wherever we were being sent, thankfully I could walk there.

If I was still alive by then of course.

" Should we poke 'em with a stick?" a voice reached my ringing ears as I flinched. There was a very audible and annoyed sigh. There was a small growl that came after the sigh, " Pi.... You shouldn't poke random men with sticks. Especially not those who look like those snake oil salesmen." the voice mumbled.

 I groaned.

The first voice I didn't quite recognize, but the second was something familiar.

 The controller: Mighty.

I rolled over as a sudden pain erupted through me. My eyes snapped over and looked up at the harshly lit surroundings.

A new voice let out a gasp, " Woah! he's still kicking!" the voice gasped causing Mighty to sigh again. I looked up towards the three people.

Mighty was wearing a blue shirt with a black vest going over it. She had a yellow horse's reins in her hand. The two girls beside her wore similar vests and shirts, but one had a hat on.

" Aqua, Pi, head back into town and tell the medical people that we found one of that mysterious stranger's friends." Mighty looked at the two. The two nodded, got on their horses, and galloped off.

I looked around for my crutches and hat. They were both nowhere to be found. Mighty noticed my looking around, " Are you planning on robbing me when I turn my back?" Mighty questioned as I froze up slightly.

I told her how I was looking for my crutches and hat. Mighty's ears went down, " Well, that's a major problem then partner." Mighty looked off in the distance, " Your friend, Cubfan, has your gear with him when we found him washed up in the river barely breathing."

The hybrid gave me a sad look. My heart sank, " Is he okay?" I asked as Mighty shrugged, " I'll give it to you candor mate.... I don't know." I looked down. Mighty helped me up and helped me onto her horse.

Mighty climbed onto the horse as well with a sigh, " You'll see what I mean when we get back to town." the hybrid sighed as we rode out towards this town.
