 Wels's POV: 

 I sighed as Cub started to talk with Doc about his missing eye. The conversation didn't go anywhere else beyond that because Doc refused to talk about anything else.

 I, however, was busy rubbing aloe on Python's muzzle and his wrists. Python would do the same to my wrists. We couldn't do it to ourselves, but I was honestly suffering a bit too much from the heat.

 " Wels, maybe you should lie down and drink some water?" Python flickered his tongue as he rubbed my wrists. I shook my head, " We're going to that show pretty soon...." I mumbled as a cold pressure went against my head. I fell onto the cot instantly and groaned. 

 Python let out a sigh, " You can't even stay up when pressure is applied to ya hand, mate." he frowned as I stared up at  him. I groaned as more coldness went over me. Cub and Scar looked over at us as Doc left. 

 Cub raised his eyebrow, " What's happening?" he questioned as Python explained to him the details. The two Vexes looked at each other and shook their heads. Cub thought for a moment, " I may have something..... Hold on..." he mumbled as he dug through his back. Scar just laid on top of his legs happily. 

 The bear hybrid brought out a healing potion and shook it around. He passed it over to Python's claw causing the snake to nod. Python brought me up by my back, " Drink up Knight." he smiled slightly as I took the bottle with my hand and drank it down. The cold liquid made me freeze up as I coughed.

 " Why is it so cold?" I groaned as I rubbed my head. This caused Cub to grin slightly, " Well, I've got a lot of ice in my bag." he smirked and shrugged. Scar got himself back up, " He does.... My back is so cold right now." he laughed as he wiped the ice water off of his back. 

 I slowly got back to my feet and stretched. The other three stood up, and Python and I got some fresher clothing on. Python flicked his tongue as his tail rattled. Cub raised his eyebrow, " Huh, That's interesting..." his tail wiggled as he put a white long coat on. 

 Everyone looked at each other, " Well, let's get some drinks while we figure out a way home." Python grinned as everyone nodded. We all left the building and marched through the town. 

 The townspeople were all heading towards the tavern as the sun started to go down. Python crossed his arms, " Well, let's hope that we don't dragged into a bar fight, 'ey?" he sighed as Cub opened the doors.

 The room was busy with people at tables, " Alright, Alright everyone. Find your seats, so we can get this show on the road!" Mighty called out as she was tuning her instrument. Ren was talking with Doc, who was writing stuff down on the battle. The two were discussing something. 

 There were two girls that hoped onto the stage. The two went over to Mighty and started to talk to her. The hybrid's ears twitched. The hybrid shook her head quickly; she seemed mildly annoyed at what the two were saying.

 " Anybody got a read on what's happening over there?" I whispered as Cub's tail twitched. He nodded slowly, " Mighty is talking with an Aqua and Pi. It seems like the three are discussing the problem with you two's counterparts being located in the outskirts of town." Cub explained while narrowing his eyes.

 Our little group kept walking when Mighty looked at us. We sat down at a far table in the corner that still had a good view of the upcoming show. 

 It was honestly a nice looking place. People was laughing and drinking, the band was tuning their instruments and finishing their conversations, and it was honestly a nice time. I leaned back in my chair and looked at the bandages on my wrists, " Why does rope burn so much?" I growled quietly.

 The other three shrugged their shoulders. Cub and Scar started to talk about how we could possibly get home when a strange man in green came up to us when his face covered with his hat. The man hat down and raised his hat to show the scar that went over his lip.

 " Uh, hello there!" the man greeted awkwardly. Cub and Scar stopped their conversation. We all gave semi-awkward greetings back. The man took his hat off and laid it in his lap, " I'm Xisuma.... Though I assume you guys already knew that." he laughed slightly. 

 Cub nodded his head, " Yeah we did, so you're the sheriff?" he questioned as Xisuma nodded at him. The sheriff went on to talk about how he wants to help us get home, and the whole town in willing to help out. He continued with how there have been some disappearances within the town lately.

 " What kind of disappearances?" Scar questioned nervously as he fixed his hat. X talked about how different hybrids in town have been kidnapped, and how nobody knows where they disappeared off too. 

 The four of us looked at each other, " Who has been taken?" Python questioned as he lowered his head slightly. X crossed his arms on top of the table. He looked around cautiously, " Two members of Stumpt and madam Netty. Tango has going to be taken, but he's the reason why Wels has that scar running down his face." 

 We all nodded. I suppose Ren and Mighty weren't taken because of Doc and Joe probably saving them. The five of us kept talking as the noise died down with the band starting to play. 

 They didn't really sing anything, but the music that was playing was honestly nice after being tied up and carried through the scorching hot desert. I was just glad that Python and I weren't locked up in prison as falsely accused prisoners. We probably would've been hanged if Scar didn't stop Doc's counterpart and the bounty hunters. 

 BANG!

 The music ceased and every counterpart froze up. Everyone including the four of us looked towards the door. 

 The alternate Python and me. 

 It all seemed to go quickly as my own counterpart held his gun up to the humans in the room. Python's counterpart bared his sharp fangs and forced Ren, Mighty, Python, Cub, and Doc into the other corner.

 " Alright.... Get outside and into the wagon." Python hissed as Doc growled, " Hell no Python!" the gila monster swung to punch Python in the face. The snake ducked and tried to kick Doc. The two kept fighting until Wels shot Doc in the shoulder.

 " DOC!" Ren shouted as he tried to run to Doc's side, but Python grabbed him by his suspenders. Ren shrugged and whined to get to Doc. The hybrid was then quickly immobilized by a sharp bite from Python straight in the collarbone. 

 The rest of us in the room tried to do something, but other me forced his gun back at us, " If any of you try to do anything...." he growled as he aimed the gun directly at the center of my forehead, " They, and everyone else taken, will be killed at midnight tomorrow night." he threatened all the hybrids were all taken out of the bar. 

 We all stood there in silence. I hurried over to Scar and comforted the now shaking man. He cried into my arms as I held tightly onto him, " We'll get Cub and Python back buddy." I whispered as he nodded.

 The brown haired girl, Aqua I believe, stood there with what looked like a steampunk/western version of a trident in her hand.

 " Well," she spoke in a low, angry voice, " It looks like fried snake is on the menu."
