Penelope's POV
It was the morning after, Josie hadn't left my side all night which I was really grateful for, her mum, Bonnie, Lizzy and hope were all in the same room, I "woke" up first not that I slept much that night, I more just laid cuddling Josie playing with her hair and staring at the roof, I was terrified to close my eyes, I could feel Josie shaking and moving awake I kept running my fingers through her hair, she opened her eyes and they were met with mine

"Good morning beautiful"

She just smiled, her eyes were dreamy and she just kept her eyes on me

"Good morning babe"

I couldn't help but smile, she was so cute, sleepy Josie was like an even bigger and softer bear, I was unknowingly fluttering me eyes

"Babe?"

"Yes jojo"

"You didn't sleep did you?"

She caught me

"What do you mean?"

She reaches up to me face, cupping one side and rubbing her thumb close to eye

"Your eyes are read, a you just look exhausted"

"I couldn't"
Looking down at the covers, her hand pulled my attention back her eyes

"Hey, Penelope you can tell me anything"

"I know jojo, but I needed you to sleep"

"I love you for that Pezz but you need your sleep, I know your already beautiful but you just need your rest"

She just smiled, she was soo cute

"Your amazing jo"

I leaned down and placed a kiss on her lips, it was soft and very nice, Josie cuddled into my chest, holding me right from my waist she wraps her legs around mine and we just snuggled under the blankets, just as I started to node off

"We have her ready girls hurry"

We snapped back awake, I just looked at Josie and she smiled and leaned into my ear

"You can lay on me in the car" and placed s peck on my cheek

I just smiled and squeezed her before we got up and dressed. We piled into the mini van, we sat in the back back seat, we were sitting up right holding hands when Josie put her arm around me and placed her hand in my shoulder pulling me towards her

"Babe it's okay, lay down"

I couldn't not do as I was told,

"Yes ma'am" I just smirked

Josie rearranged how she was sitting pressing her back against the side in the car opening her body and slouching a little, she pulled me down to rest my head on her chest, my heart was beating 5x the normal speed Josie shad her hand on my chest there was no hiding my fear

"Pezz, !?"

"I know, jo, I can't sleep"

She leaned into my ear

"Shhh it's okay, I'm here" she's squeezed me tight "I'm right here"

She then places a peck on my forehead and rested her her chin on the top of my head, I pressed my head on her chest and closed my eyes, I grabbed her hand, and interlocked our fingers tight, she laid there with holding me tight

"Shhh focus on my heart beat"

That's what I did, I listened to her heart, it was clam and easy to follow, I was falling asleep when I could feel my heart beat raise again the fear was kicking in, I could feel myself beginning to shake and my mind was wondering in the darkest parts, I felt Josie grip on my hand, she squeezed me tight

"Shhh, hey hey"

My eyes snapped open, she upped my face with both hands unlocking our fingers, making my eyes focus on hers and only hers

"I'm okay, I'm okay" I said as my focus becomes clear and my breathing starting to settle

"I know baby, I know" she saids running her fingers through my hair trying to calm me, it was working, slowly. We just laid there Josie held me and helped slow down my breathing, no one knew what was going on behind them as Alaric was arguing with Kaleb, MG was listening to music and Lizzy and hope were both asleep resting there heads in one another,

"Jojo, what's wrong with me"

"Nothing Pezz, you just faced dark magic of course your going to be scared"

"I don't get scared"

"Well everyone gets scared Pezz even my strong, confident and brave girlfriend"

We were just smiling at each other when MG turned around

"Hey girls who you feeling"

I could tell I didn't look real happy

"Ooo Pezz you don't look to good"

"Thanks MG" i said sarcastically

"Alright MG, Penelope hasn't slept though soo"

"Nope I get it, talk to yous later"

"Thanks MG" Josie saids with a beautiful smile on her face

She looks down at me and again just smiles

"It'll be okay"

Those words never get old from her, then again she could say anything and I'd believe it, the rest of the trip I laid in her arms playing her fingers with mine, it's was peaceful and perfect I love spending time with her even if it is just sitting and doing nothing
