Camp Crest

Departure

Its finally hear. time to kick back and enjoy the summertime sensations. I got everything packed and I'm heading out.

" Mom i'm ready " I said with anxiously. " Get in the car " she replied.

I helped myself outside to the car with two suitcases and a carry on.

" Lola honey your going to camp, not 5 month vacation to Hawaii " she said as she opened the car door.

" Hey, I got every thing I need in hear, from undies to jewelry " i said opening the trunk about to to put my suitcases in.

After that I closed the trunk and went into the front seat of of the car with my carry on. In about 15 minutes we arrived at school. there were about 20 buses and a lot of students. I got out of the car and took out my suitcases. I gave mom one and we made our way onto the school campus.

" Well, there sure are a lot of kids here, any second thoughts ?" she asked " Mom! " I glared at her. " OK OK, just don't get lost "

We walked around a little as she lectured me about the dangers of camp. I couldn't take it any more and that's when my break away came.

" hey mom isn't that Peter " I said smiling. " Where ? " she said amused. " Oh it is Peter, lets walk away " she said holding my hand.

" Why ? "

" Why?, because its awkward "

" Hey Peter I yelled out to him "

He recognized me and started to walk over

" Lola! " she she whispered. " Hi Peter its so nice to see you here "

" The pleasure is all mine " he replied with a bright smile.

I slowly sneaked away leaving the love birds alone.

I walked around trying to find Jen but there was no sign of her but unfortunately I came across bad news.

" Well hi there "

" Hi Brendon " I said looking disgusted

" Why the sour face, Its makes you look unattractive" he said looking amused.

" Well maybe I should wear this face more often "

" No no that wouldn't be pleasant " he said as he placed his right arm around me.

" By any chance, did you remember what happened when you placed your arm around me "

" No, what happened?"

" This ".

I was about to grab his arm but he took his left hand hand and grabbed mine.

" Now did you think I was gonna fall for that again ? " he said still holding me with his tight grip.

I was about to give him something he didn't expect but them a voice came up on the speaker phones

"ALL CAMPERS PLEASE GATHER AROUND AND THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. I REPEAT ALL CAMPERS PLEASE GATHER AROUND AND THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL."

" Looks like I've gotta go. See you around babe ". he said giving me a wink.

With no more time to waste I headed for the front of the school in the opposite direction from that ass. In a couple of minutes I reunited with my mom who was still engaged in her conversation with Peter. Then suddenly a tall, blonde, blue eyed handsome guy approached us.

" Hey Emily " Peter said as I looked back around. 

" Yeah " I said with the urge to turn around and stare at the guy.

" That's my son Chad " he said making a head gesture toward him.

" Oh I see ". I said turning around flashing my hair.

Chad finally reached up to us.

" Hey " he said with a surprisingly deep husky voice.

" Hey,The names Emily " I said as looked from head to toe.

" Emily? Oh so your." he said trialing off

" Yes It looks like were gonna be brother and sister " I said looking back at the two love birds.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE" someone said over the speaker phone.

" NOW THAT EVERYONE HAS GATHERED AT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL WE WILL LIKE TO BEGIN THE MORNING'S EVENTS. I WILL START BY SAYING GOOD MORNING, MY NAME IS DONNA I AM ONE OF THE CAMP SUPERVISORS. AND WITH ME I HAVE A PART OF THE TEAM THAT WILL BE WORKING WITH YOU OVER THE NEXT 2 MONTHS. NOW WE WILL BEGIN BY LOADING THE BUSES. THESE BUSES WILL BE LOADED BY SCHOOL, GENDER AND THEN GRADE.

The instructor started stared calling out the names of the different campers and after 15 long minutes my name was called to go on bus number 13. After my name I heard Jenifer's. At least I have some company. When I got in the bus I took a window seat at the back and saved a seat for Jen.

" Hey Jen " I said greeting her with a smile. 

" Oh Hi Lola" she said in a bad mood.

" Um i saved you a seat next to me." gesturing to the seat beside me.

" Oh I only do window seats. Thanks for the offer anyway "

With that she took the the seat in front of me. I wonder what's wrong.

" Hey have you seen Chrisie? " I asked taking out my iPod.

" Who? I don't know who you're talking about. Never mention that name to me again. " she snapped.

" Did something happen between the two of you ? " I asked ignoring that last words she said.

And at that moment Chrisie stepped into the bus. Jenifer saw her and plugged in a pair of  headphones and slid on a pair of sunglasses. I waved to her and asked if she wanted to sit beside me. But she saw Jenifer and said she'd pass. 

Something was definately wrong.

In a few minutes the all the buses were ready to go. The buses all left the school and I waved to my mom as I aw her through the window.

" Freedom at last " I let out a sigh of releif.
