I went back to my Cabin after a morning walk. As I entered the girls were up and ready.

" Shoot, my phone crashed " Danielle cried.

" How did that happen? " Shelly asked after sipping a bottle of water.

" I don't know, it just crashed "

" Let me take a look " she offered.

Shelly looked at the phone from the outside and then took off the back.

" Oh I see, you battery overloaded " she concluded.

" What ? "

" You battery over charged and now its not working "

" What ? "

" Battery dead " She said as simply as she could.

" Oh " Danielle said. " But still what's wrong with it "

" Ok " Shelly said frustrated but held her composure.

Wow that girl is not so bright is she.

ATTENTION CAMPERS

" Wow that never gets old " Domonique complained sitting on her bed.

THE FIRST OF OR MANY CAMP EVENTS START AFTER BREAKFAST. NOW GET UP YOU LAZY CLUMPS OF HORMONES

" You heard her " Cassie laughed and we all started.

" Really, this what they call breakfast " I complained as I got my bowl of sloppy Jo.

" The dinner last night wasn't so hot either " Chrisie agreed me.

"To think that this is the best summer camp in the area, they could have spared us with this horrid piece of junk "

Chrisie laughed. We went about and looked for an empty table. We sat down and began eating.

" So how is camp so far ? "

" It's okay I guess " I replied sniffing the food on my spoon. " Yeah it's okay, except the food. "

" I heard that that the supervisors eat like kings. "

" No way"

" Yeah and I heard that they're in a bad mood, so they're punishing us for some reason "

" Really? "

" Hey Lola, who's your friend? " a sudden Cassie came and joined our table.

" Oh, Cassie this is Chrisie, and Chrisie this is Cassie "

" Nice to meet you, Chrisie "

" Same hear " she coughed.

" Is something wrong " Cassie asked worryingly.

" No, nothing, I just think that some-thing's stuck in my throat " she replied still coughing.

" The food hear sucks " I butted in.

" I'm going to the bathroom, brb " Chrisie said.

" Come back alive " I smiled.

She gave me a playful glare and went off.

" Ok girls this is it if we want that European shopping spree we have to win. Let's do this ! " The Cabin Leader said.

Apparently they appointed a cabin leader. Her name was Joan and she was way too perky.

" We need volunteers for the volleyball competition" she looked around. " You there " she pointed at me. Oh no. She picked four others and we were forced to take part?

" Lets go Cabin B! " she squealed.

That has got to be the most annoying voice I've ever heard. Seriously it's like a mosquito in your ear.

So were facing Cabin D. We went out on a patch of sand probably reserved for the volleyball. When the five of us went on we were introduced to the other teams. The game started and a girl from my team made the first serve. It was bounced back over and I hit back so fast, the opposing team flinched and we got a point. The crowd started to cheer. I felt good, until I realized the cheering wasn't for our team, but for another match. Cabin C, they already won there first round, advancing. That was, fast.

I brushed it off and we continued the game. Our team won 5 -3. We only needed five points to advance. After the first round we got a break.

" Nice job you really worked it out there " Joan applauded me. " Yeah it was no big deal " I never thought I'd say this, but thank you mom for forcing me into volleyball. " It was pretty much you out there, we are sure to win " she continued. " What about cabin C? They look pretty good. " I said after sipping some water. " Don't worry, they're not as good as you " she jumped off. I sipped some more water and I was ready to go.

The next two rounds went by pretty easily. I was on a roll. The only thing my team had to do was place the ball in my position and I would somehow get it done. It was time for the finals and we were facing cabin C. Ten points at stake, we cannot lose.

" Well, well, well, if it isn't Lola " a familiar voice said. "Jenifer? "

" I'm looking forward to a good game " she said turning back.

The ref blew his whistle and it was game on. Samantha from my team made the first serve but Jenifer quickly responded hitting it back, I jumped and bounced it back, but a girl from the opposing team spiked, landing them a point. Members from cabin C started going wild in the stands.

The game got back in play when Jenifer served the ball, Samantha went in for a spike, but failed when Jenifer bounced it back, I hit the ball high in the air, still over our section, and that's I gave it good spike, but good deflected by a member of the opposing team and it landed them another point.

" Come on Lola, is that all you got " Jenifer teased.

Before we knew it, we lost 5-1, we managed to land a point, by catching them off guard. But that didn't last long.

I walked away disappointed since I really didn't like losing.

" Great job " Cassie came up to me in sympathy. Being me I would push her aside, but there was something about her, so pleasant and warming. " Thank you " I replied. We watched as the congratulated the winning Cabins from the girls and boy's team. Apparently Brendon's Cabin won, seems like he's a versatile sports boy.
