Chapter 8-Falling Apart

A new day,a new opportunity as some would say.Ori woke up slowly and looked around the room.They were still downstairs.Louis came down in his pajamas.He greeted Ori and entered the kitchen."I've heard that Zach's been suspicious of you.I don't believe him."He said as he put something in the microwave.Ori jumped off the chair and stood next to Louis."I want you to come today.I uh..don't have a partner in science..and the girls and my brother have partners already."He said as he rubbed Ori's head.Ori seemed happy,but everytime they heard Zach's name a chill went down their spine."We've got an hour before school starts,so feel free to do anything you want before than.The spirit had one thing in mind.Ori wanted to see what Zach was doing.If he was getting more and more suspicious by as the days went on,who knows what could be up his sleeves.Ori needed the door to be opened though.Louis figured the spirit wanted to go outside so he opened the door.Ori already knew where to go,so they headed there.This time the garage door was closed.Ori felt weird.Was this doing the right thing?The spirit didn't know.They decided to turn back because it felt like a better decision.The back door was still open and Ori let themselves in."Ori,you haven't even been gone for a least five minutes.You were outside longer yesterday,what's wrong?"Louis asked.Ori didn't reply as they bumped into his leg."We've got fifty-five minutes.Let's make the most of it."He continued.

An hour later...

Louis was making his way to class.Ori was following right behind him."Science is first period today.We're about 5 minutes early,so we can get a seat."Louis said as he opened the door into the classroom.He led Ori to the back.He started to grab supplies.Ori looked around the class.Louis took out two pairs of goggles.He called Ori over."I got some goggles to protect your eyes during the experiment.I don't know if they fit though..."He said."Ori picked up the goggles and they were a little heavy.Louis helped the spirit put them on.Louis laughed a bit."They fit,but you look so funny!"Louis said.Ori smiled and poked Louis.He returned the smile.The science teacher came into the room."Good morning Ms.Cella."Louis said."Early again Louis?"She said as she set up her desk."Good morning dear."She continued.Eventyally everyone started to fill into the classroom in pairs.Sam was with Violet,Nathan was with Zach,and Eric was with someone else.Ms.Cella stood up in front of the class."Alright class!You know what to do!I'll be coming around to check on your experiments,so look sharp."She said.Louis opened a book."This is what you do on your side.I drew pictures so it'll be easier for you!"Louis said.Ori looked at the book.It showed all the things that was needed.There was 6 color mixtures next to Ori,and they had to put in with a certain order.The spirit had no problem following it at first,but they accidentally put in a color that was supposed to go last.Louis noticed."Ori..upon adding that when it wasn't supposed to,you made-"A pink explosion came out of the beacon.It finished out as a cloud."Ori get down!"Louis said as he grabbed Ori and went for the floor.Ms.Cella ran over."Louis!That combination hasn't even been learned by most of my students from last year!"She said as a smiled formed on her face.Louis got up slowly."What...?I'm sorry."Louis said as Ori started to get up with him."It's amazing!"His teacher said.Ori jumped back on the stool."Well,my partner Ori helped too."He said with a confident smile."Oh!Darling I'd give you a grade,but I'm sure you're not enrolled here.."Ms.Cella said as she gave the two a thumbs up and returned to her post.

After Class...

Louis ran into the hallway and cheered."An A+ Ori!It's the best grade I've got in her class!"He said.Ori was happy for him.Zach walked up."I'm telling you Louis.The more time you spend with that thing,the more likely it's to kill you."He said giving Ori a mean look.Zach didn't scare Ori.He was courageous.The spirit stared him down."I don't know what you're talking about.Ori helped me get this grade!"Louis stated.Nathan walked over."He's been watching the whole time.He told me that Ori was out to get us and..."Nathan didn't continue.Vi and Sam walked over."You're not telling me that you're believing him are you?"Sam said."You better not be Nathan.Violet said with a straight face.Nathan started to walk away.Zach did too with a chuckle."I can't believe you!You're the one who found the little guy,so why are you believing him?!"Violet yelled down the hallway."I think he's letting Zach is getting in his head.All these lies,it's not good."Sam said."I'll talk to him...let's go Ori..."Louis said as he started to walk to his next class.

At Lunch..

Louis sat down with his friends.It was pretty quiet.Ori,looking around the room,saw Zach come over."I hope you don't plan on causing any trouble."Louis said.Zach rolled his eyes."Do you remember what happened to Austin,Vi?"He said."Don't you dare talk about Austin.Don't you dare!"She got up and pushed him.Louis got up and stood between the two."Go back to your table.It's for the best."Sam said.Zach went, shaking his head.Ori wasn't happy.They wanted peace and their friends to restore their peace as well.The spirit fell asleep on Sam's lap.It was a rough day...
