Chapter 5-In Trouble

The day was going fast.Ori was back with Nathan and Louis.It was around 6:40 now.The spirit was sleeping on Nathan's desk and Nathan was sitting on his bed.His phone was next to him,but he started to remember what Louis said."You spend too much time on your phone!I want you to enjoy the outdoors!"It was eating him up inside.Nathan yelled furiously and woke Ori up.Nathan grabbed a book on the other side of his bed and threw it at full force.Ori watched it fly.It his Nathan's lamp,making it fall over.Eventually,Louis came into the room."What's going on?"He asked his brother."Get..out Louis.Now,and take Ori with you."His brother said.What did Ori do?Louis took Ori out of the room and closed the door.He looked at Ori closely."You're not hurt,are you..?"Louis asked.Ori shook their head,giving the best "No" they could."Nathan has this problem that makes him hurt others around him when he's angry.."Louis whispered as he started to walk toward the stairs.Ori started to follow.At the bottom of the stairs,Louis saw Sam and Violet come inside."Oh hey Louis."Vi said."What are you girls doing here?It's almost 7."Louis said as Ori went down more stairs."Mom let us come over,so I was thinking of spending the night."She said as Ori brushed up against her leg and than Sam's."Oh.Nathan's mad right now,so it's not best to check on him."Said Louis.Ori wandered into the living room and saw a vase on the coffee table.They sat down next to it and looked at the designs.The other 3 settled down in the room as well.It was getting later and later by the minute.It was quiet than."Hey Louis..."Sam called.Louis had got up and started walking into the kitchen."Yeah?"He replied."Have you fed Ori at all?"She asked.Ori was hungry."I don't know what he eats.I'll try fruit though."He said as he came into the room with four different types of fruit.A strawberry,a apple,an orange and a pear,all prepared by Louis.He put the bowl of fruit in front of Ori.Ori got up eventually but forgot that the vase was behind them.It was knocked over,and it shattered when it fell.Everyone was silent at first."That was for our grandma.Nathan made it in a class and he wanted to show everyone by putting it there."Louis said."Ori.If Nathan comes down here mad,I'll have your back.If it doesn't go well,than you'll have to do the right thing."Violet said as she stood up and moved the bowl onto the couch.Ori moved as well.They grabbed a strawberry from the bowl and ate it.A door upstairs had slammed.Sam figured that it was Nathan.Ori was about to reach for another piece of fruit until Sam told them to go towards the kitchen.Ori did as she said."Nathan..is that you?"Louis called."Yeah..I'm okay now."Nathan replied as he came down the stairs slowly.He noticed the vase for only a second."Ah crap.."Sam whispered.He noticed again and paused when he reached the room."Who...broke the vase.Who broke it?!"He started to yell."Calm down man!We can just fix it!"Louis said."So you all broke it?"Nathan asked.He was really mad now.Vi got up."Nathan,why do you always make these arguments a living hell man?!"Violet said.She approached him slowly."Just tell me who broke the vase!"He yelled.Everyone was upset now.Ori didn't want to hear them being angry anymore,so they came out from where they were hiding and called out to everyone.All teens paused and looked at Ori.The sound they made sounded just like the sound Ori made to call Gumo."Ori...did you break it..?"Nathan asked.Ori nodded slowly in shame.Nathan still had the fury on his mind.Louis stepped forward."It was an accident.I was just trying to feed him when he knocked it over.Just..don't hurt him.."His brother said.Nathan stepped forward and looked down at Ori.He thrusted his foot forward and hit Ori.Being light,it knocked them back into a cabinet,almost breaking it.Nathan walked back to the stairs and went back to his room.Violet walked over to Ori.So did Louis."I don't think he's okay.."He said."Nice observation."Said Violet as she examined Ori.They had lost consciousness from the blow.Vi picked them up."Let's just go to the dorms for the night.Give your brother the space he needs." she said as she grabbed her bag and headed for the door.Sam followed.

At Violet's dorm...

Violet set Ori down on her bed.They were still out and Sam was starting to get worried."Hey Violet..?"She said slowly."Violet sat in her desk chair."Yeah?"she replied."Nathan's never hit one of us.."Sam said."Has he ever told you that he has ODD?"Vi replied as she took out her phone."Yeah.I didn't think it would be this bad..to cause harm...and poor Ori's lost his consciousness.I hope he's okay.."Sam said.Vi texted Louis if everything was alright.He texted back that Nathan explained that he over reacted and he didn't mean to hurt Ori.Violet rolled her eyes slowly.She started to text back.A while later,Sam noticed that there was blood on Ori's head,but it wasn't that much.She told violet."He struck blood..that's not good Sam."She said."I hope he gets control of his anger one day..it's getting out of hand..and all over a vase."Sam said as she grabbed a box of tissues.Violet looked at the box."I don't think so.Try the gauzes."Vi said.Sam looked around for the gauzes and eventually found them.The two took care of Ori while they were out and it took around 15 minutes."We're all done now.Good job Sam."Violet said."Thanks Violet,you did a good job too."Sam replied.As Vi went to sit back in her chair,Ori started to open their eyes.Only one opened at first,than the other."Hey there Ori."Violet said as she waved to him.Ori let out a small sound,probably indicating a "Hello."Ori slowly started to get up when their head started to hurt.They fell backwards and landed on Sam's lap."Do you think we should keep him here until Nathan calms down?"Vi asked.Sam nodded in agreement."It's settled.I'll let Louis know."She continued.

"Hey,we're letting Ori stay here until things get sorted out.Mind bringing that vase over though?"

"Uh,sure.Is Ori alright by the way?Nathan's kinda worried."

"He's okay,for the most part."

"What's the other part??"

"Louis you dork,you worry too much.Just tell your brother to keep a calm spirit.Just remember to get the vase."

Violet turned her phone off.It was really late now.
