Nancy got home later than usual that night. She had messaged Frank letting him know that his parents were to stay in her spare room. Nancy was still alive, thank goodness!

On the couch, lay the body of Frank. His sleeping form looking uncomfortable, Nancy shook him slightly. "Honey, come to bed." She whispered softly.

"I was waiting for you to come home," He groggily said back as she led him to bed. "I thought you'd still be mad?"

"I am." Nancy cut him off. "You can apologise to me in the morning but you are too uncomfortable on the couch. I'm not mad enough for you to be on the couch." Slowly getting under the blankets, they both drifted off to sleep with Frank slipping his arm around Nancy's waist.

The sweet, sweet smell of bacon woke Nancy up a couple of minutes before her alarm. Yawning, she put her slippers on and slowly made her way to the kitchen to find Fenton and Laura piling out of the spare room.

"Good morning Nancy," Fenton tiredly nods in her direction.

"Good morning Fenton, Laura. It's a bit early for you two isn't it?" Nancy questioned.

"I was going to say the same thing about you darling!" Laura swiftly replies. Walking towards the kitchen, Nancy puts her arms around Laura and Fenton's.

"I usually wake up at about this time to go for a run but seems like Frank beat me to it." The three saw Frank over a frying pan. Nancy took a closer look to her boyfriend; he was tanned, very toned, and very tall. His usual neat hair was slightly out of place from sleep but Nancy seemed to find this more attractive. She slowly snaked her arms around his waist and slowly placed her face on his broad shoulders.

"You know, if your parents weren't here I would take you right here and now," she felt Frank perk up subtly, not wanting to alert his parents. He turned around in her arms and kissed Nancy deeply.

"Are you still mad at me?" Frank asked between kisses.

"No but I need to hear you apologise before we do anything," Frank nodded.

After a lengthy apology, and a lengthy breakfast, Frank hunched over his laptop on the breakfast bar. Fenton and Laura were in the living room watching TV while Nancy washed dishes ( Laura couldn't let Nancy do it by herself but Nancy insisted). Suddenly Frank slammed his fist onto the bar.

"I just can't seem to figure this out!" He gritted through teeth. Nancy wipes her hands on a towel and walked around looking over Frank's shoulder. She wrapped her arms around his chest. He grabbed them and kissed them softly.

"Baby, I've already looked through his phone records. I did this all yesterday. Why do you think I was out for so long?" Nancy whispered in Frank's ear.

"Baby I did not know this because I don't know where out is. Why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

"I was waiting until after breakfast. Dishes are done, get dressed and we'll head 'out'. You can drop your parents off at the hospital on the way," Nancy lifted Frank off his chair and started lightly pushing him. Calling out their plans to the Hardy Parents, everyone was ready in 10 minutes.

In the car was quiet. No one wanted to say anything. No one knew what to say. Nancy, sitting in the passenger seat, turned on the CD she had on in the radio. 'Our Last Summer' by ABBA came blasting through the radio.

"Of course!" The Hardy's said in unison. Nancy looked at all three, pretend hurt.

"What do you mean? I have a wide range of music!" Fenton, Frank and Laura all laughed at her. The air in the car started getting a little easier, the nervousness was still there. The nerves about Joe's health still hung over Frank's head. He didn't know what to do without his brother; his best friend.

He watched as his parents walked into the waiting room of the hospital.

"We'll be with them in a couple of hours. I just wanted to show you a few things regarding Joe's case," Nancy explained.

"I know, it's just. Why can't we go over it in there?" Frank's chocolate brown eyes looked into Nancy's bright blue eyes. She turned and faced him, grabbed his hands and kissed them lightly.

"Frank, baby. The reason I go to this particular spot is to clear my head with no distractions. I know this is hard for you, Joe is your best friend, your right hand man. We'll get to see him I promise a little later. I know you want to find the guy who did this to him, we all do." Frank nodded slightly.

On the way to her 'special spot', Nancy held onto Frank's hand the whole way. Squeezing it reassuringly at times to let him know she was there for him all the time. They parked in an open area, in front of the woods and started following an off beaten track to a boulder; over looking a lake.
