*Beth*

A year has passed, the accident was still on her mind. Tony survived barely. He was in the hospital for a month. A rehab center for two months to learn how to walk again. As for Sebastian, she had not heard from him for a year. She guessed Karen kept him busy with cons and filming movies. Iris and Matthew went to see his new movie. Iris told Beth about his performance being "tacky yet spectacular". Beth walks down to the office. She had been working at a lawyer's office for seven months. He was one of the best in New York. Graham was an excellent boss. He didn't over work Beth. He had a family too. When she came into the office, Graham was fixing the coffee pot for morning coffee.

"Graham, I'll get that for you." Beth told him as she walks over to him.

"Oh, thank you, Beth." Graham said. "I'm useless around these things."

"You're coffeemaker impaired." She sighed.

"Like your computer impaired." He chuckles.

"Semi computer impaired." Beth corrected him.

Beth got along with Graham and his family. His wife Moira was nurse at the hospital. His son Tim is the same age as Dominic and when to the same school. His daughter Fern was in her junior year of high school. Fern drops in from school when she didn't have swimming or ballet after school. She smiles at Beth as she walks by. Fern was like a little sister to Beth. She went into her father's office. It wasn't even twenty minutes before she came back out of the office. She smiles at Beth.

"Are you ready for Friday night?" She asked.

"Yeah, you know it will be hard on me." Beth replied.

"I know. He will be on the screen for ten minutes. I know you used to be his assistant." Fern told Beth as she sat down in the chair.

"What do you think of the situation?" Beth asked her.

"I think Karen is a toady bitch for firing you. It was not your fault. Sebastian is a handsome man. Honestly, Sebastian and you were cute together." She explained.

Beth smiles, "We were the best of each other." Beth spoke to Fern.

After Fern left the office, Graham had papers for Beth to highlight for a upcoming trial. She grabs her yellow highlighter. He hands them to her. Graham gave her instructions to highlight certain dates. He went back into his office. As she did her work, someone came into the office. Beth looks up from her paperwork. It was Tony. She smiles at him. He smiles back. Then she got up from her desk, and she hugs Tony. He hugged her back. Beth and Tony haven't seen each other in a few months. Tony was getting rehabilitation and taking his mother around the world. He was back in New York City for awhile. He moved away from the city for the upstate country two weeks ago. He worked in the city on some days. Beth let go of Tony.

"Hey!" He said.

"How's the new home?" Beth asked.

"I like it. Thinking about moving ma up there." Tony replied.

"It would be better for her there than here." Beth told him.

"You know ma." He sighed.

"She's stubborn. You did worry her after the accident." Beth spoke to him.

"Especially while in the hospital." Tony told Beth.

Beth nods her head, "You scared me." She added.

"I know." Tony whispered.

Graham came out with another batch of folders in his hands. He saw Tony and Beth standing together. He places the folders on the desk for Beth. Then he went back into his office. Beth watches Graham go back into his office. She looks at Tony then smiled.
