Someone's hand snuck around my waist and pulled me towards their body, but from the lack of comfort I felt I knew it was not Maximus which only left, "Alpha Werner, what are you doing?" I pulled his hand off my waist and turned around glaring at him.

"I'm just taking what's mine." He reached for me again and I dodged him.

"Taking what's yours? I believe you're mistaken then." I could feel Maximus through the mate bound getting quickly disturbed, so I turned away walking out of the library or as far as I could get.

"I'm surely not mistaken, I remember clearly the price I paid," This time he pulled me by my arm into his body and grabbing my ass. "for all of this."

"What the-" I was about to 'go off on this man' but something which I assume was Maximus, flew out from nowhere and somehow pulled me into his chest while throwing Werner into a shelf, it all happened so fast even I was shocked. I was squished into Maximus' chest and he had a tight grip on my ass I lifted my head up slightly to see his face and I knew it was no longer Maximus that was out to play, "MINE!" His shout along with a fearsome growl that almost blew my eardrums. I could here Werner groaning on the floor, Maximus or should I say Haden was about to go over to Werner to finish him off but I had to stop him sadly.

"Haden." He continued staring at Werner ignoring me. "Haden!" I had to yell at him using my Alpha tone as well which I could tell he did not appreciate. He squeezed my ass harder.

"What is it?" He finally gave me his attention.

"Please you need to stop, you can't hurt him anymore. Please just give me Maximus back."

"No, I'm going to kill him, why are you defending him?"

"I'm not I just don't want to start a war, I'm pissed off too it was my ass he touched." I whispered making sure Werner couldn't hear, he growled at that last part and I realized that probably wasn't to smartest thing to say. I could hear Werner starting to get up behind me and I knew Haden did to because his eyes shifted.

"Move Violet."

"No," I put my hands on his chest trying to gain back his attention "Haden, Maximus, remember why we came here, if you do this now it will all be for nothing."

"What was that for?!" Werner yelled obviously trying to cause some type of fight, I turned to face him hoping I can get him to leave so I can calm down Haden I also kept one hand on Haden so he won't attack Werner.

"Alpha Werner, I suggest you leave before things get out of control."

"Why are you acting as if he's your mate?"

"Listen, as you can see Alpha Carson is in an extremely bad mood because of your actions. So in order for him to not attack you and make this an all out war between packs I suggest you leave now." At first I didn't think he would listen because of my Alpha tone that I used but it seems like he understood because he slowly walked out of the room leaving me to my beast.

I slowly turned back to Haden who was watching Werner leave. "He's gone now," I put my hands on his face directing his attention to me "Please give me back Maximus." His lips closed in on mine and I didn't give any protests as his tongue entered my mouth and taking over. I swayed lightly due to his sudden attack on my lips, but he was ready as his arms wrapped around my waist holding me up.

"Haden..." The kiss was unexpected and a bit overwhelming. I tried to compose myself so I could talk with him but my mind was still blank.

"No," He looked up into my eyes and I knew it was no longer Haden in control.

"Maximus, thank goodness. I was worried that Haden was going to kill Werner-" a loud growl cut me off.

"Don't say that name."
