Amani's POV

I still can't believe I said yes to Irvin and that I'm in his car. My heart is beating a little more faster than usual. I kept my hands in my lap and kept my feet together so that he doesn't see how much I'm shaking. Yes,my hands and legs start to shake when I'm scared. I'm scared to talk because I don't want to say something stupid and scare him off so staying quiet is my best choice right now.

Just when I thought this entire car was going to be quite and weird he started talking again.

"Hey ummm i know you asked to go home but I was wondering if you would like to....Ugh i dunno...park somewhere like the beach or a park and talk or get to know each other."
He looked uneasy about the whole situation .
But honestly what is it with the guys and going somewhere to 'talk'. It's like their trying to take me anywhere but HOME!.
As much as I wanted to get home I couldn't say no.

"I'd like that very much." I said softly.
He started smiling. I couldn't help but to admire how cute he looked right now. I really wouldn't mind getting to know him. His face alone screams mystery.

"Sooo....where to ma'am?" He asked me with a little smile on his face.
"You pick" I told him.
With that he nodded and continued to drive.

Looking at him now he doesn't seem as I thought he was.

"So...you stay at the dorms?"He asked without looking at me.
"No actually. I live stay at home. It's not far from there so I chose to stay home."
"Oh I see." He looked at me .
"Yeah. I also feel more comfortable at home." I said trying not to look at him to long. I'm afraid I'll start drooling.
"Make sense. How old are you?"
"17 and you?"
"I'm 18."He said looking at me
"Cool"

I noticed where we was headed. It was to a beach.
I've never seen this beach before. Looking at the sign it read

"BLUE LAGOON BEACH"

The car came to a stop.
As I stepped out I forgot I was wearing heals.
I only realized when my entire left pair was nearly covered In sand.

"You need some help?"
"Nahhh I'm good" I said through a little laughter.
After I got rid of the shoes I came out of the car. My feet came in contact with the cold sand. It felt good for some reason. I don't know if it was because those heals had my feet on fire or if I'm just that WEIRD.

"I come here sometimes to clear my head. People don't really come here because the water is very low." He said looking back at me.
"Oh okay. It seems really cool."
"It is. If you see it in the day it's really beautiful. But that'll take away all the peace and quiet." He said with a small smile playing on his lips.
"I could imagine." I said returning the smile.

When we reached the water it was really low. Just as he said. The water barely could touch my ankle.
I could tell it would be just as beautiful in the light.

He walked over to some rocks and of course I followed him. He climbed on top of the rocks . God knows I can't do that. I must've been able to see the nervousness in my face.

"Let me help you." He offered while holding out his hand .
"Noooo. I think I'll stay right here."
"C'mon. It's nothing to be afraid of." He assured me.
I placed my hand in his.
At that moment I felt a fire ignite in my body. He must've felt it too because he looked me in the eyes without saying anything.
Of course I was the one that looked away .
He pulled me up using both hands this time.
When I was up he let go of my hands. Part of me wanted to beg him to continue to hold but I couldn't. I don't even know this guy.

"Ugh so Amani tell me about you" he said looking at me half smiling.
"Well...what'd you wanna know?" I said clearing my throat.
"Whatever you feel like you want me to know I guess" he shrugged.
