Fancy Tea

-Dustin's POV-

I don't know how I'm supposed to feel right now. My thoughts are muddled and mixed with images from what we experience and the reunion that happened mere hours ago. Part of me is ecstatic that we're back and away from those wolves but I know this isnt over yet. Those wolves wont be happy with the few casualties we caused by our escape. 

I let my eyes wonder around the now empty meeting room. It took awhile to clear out the rowdy wolves, but we now have some piece and quiet to talk about the next steps. Raven and Juliet immediately ran to the Alpha after the meeting was dismissed, I barely picked up the words spoken but it seems they have information that could assist in the impending war.

I left myself rejoined the conversation when the Alpha addressed me.

"Dustin, what happened? We need to know the details of the events. Seth seems a bit shaken about it and we don't wanna force this on him but we need some details."

I glanced over at Ash who was wrapped in Seth's arms, I sighed softly and pushed myself out of Jason's arms. 

"Ill give you a run down, I guess. Ash and I were put in a cell in some basement. It had others lining the walls as well. I think this is where they kept Ash when he originally was with them. We had guards stationed in the front of the cell and we found some stronger guards. We made a plan to take our the ones that fed us.. at least, I took them out."

The Alpha's eyes narrowed "You took our two trained guards?"

I turned my head away from his gaze and nodded slightly.

"Continue." He said quickly.

I sighed before speaking again " Since Ash knew the place we managed to fix a back entrance and leave that way, but we encountered two more wolves and we both handled  them before escaping. The search team found us running in the woods and brought us back here."

"Is that everything?" Asked the Alpha

I nodded quickly before sitting back with Jason. 

"No, that's not everything"

I glared over to Ash after he spoke. What is he doing? I don't want to talk about that now. Not around everyone! 

I growled toward Ash, he just glared toward me.

"Yeah, no that's not everything."

"Please do continue then Ash, what didn't Dustin say?" the Alpha asked.

Ash glanced toward me again "Dustin kind of became a completely different wolf when fighting those guards. He completely tore the arm off one of them and destroyed both of them. And when we fought the last two... he had this.. blood look to him. His eyes were crazed and when he spoke to me, it didn't sound like himself. He got a complete god-complex. It was terrifying." Ash pressed himself further into Seth when I glared at him again. 

Slight movement made me snap my head to Raven who was giving Juliet an odd look.

"Is that true Dustin?" The Alpha leaned forward.

I quickly stood up and walked away from the group. "Yes its true. I don't know what happened. I felt so powerful.. like I was a god. The wolves were nothing to me. I felt such an anger inside me.. this blood lust for the enemy..I don't know. 

"Uh.. If I may speak.." Ravens voice rose up " Me and Juliet actually had some information that may clear what happened up.. that's why we wanted to talk to you so quickly. Juliet care to explain?"

I spun around and looked toward her as she rose up and gave a book to the Alpha. " So, we were trying to figure out why those wolves wanted white wolves. We barely could find any  info until we came across some sentences regarding white wolves as being hand picked from the gods. So.. we then began reading our ancestor and books on the gods which gave us the information we need. The specific stuff is in that book right there" she pointed to the book the Alpha was now holding" That book told us that White Wolves were indeed selected by the gods and are pure. They're also given powers from the gods to help restore order when it may arise! We're thinking that those wolves know this and want to utilize that power for their own benefit. I mean having white wolves with god powers on your side can turn any fight in your favor. Sadly though that's the most we got.. but I feel that maybe.. based on what you're saying Dustin..is that your powers could be coming from a god of war and death. But we still need to do some research and we may reach out to other packs for any books they might have on this."

I stared at Juliet with wide eyes. White wolves have godlike powers? What?

The Alpha rose up " To be sure of it we need more information and we need to test that theory on both Dustin and Ash. Once you guys rest for a few days we will begin training to see if these god powers are true. Good work you two finding all of this, I trust you will continue to uncover more information."

Raven and Juliet both nodded.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed. " Yeah we can test it, just give us two days tops to recover a bit before we begin training." I glanced to Ash " Are you fine with that?"

He nodded quickly 

"Great, now if you will excuse me, the adrenaline from these past few days have been kinda of keeping back my heat a bit and I can feel the flame reigniting...Anyone got some of that fancy tea?"

Here's the end of the first book. Second one will pick up from here and will help make a bigger distinction between the next adventure so to speak. I will begin posting chapters tomorrow and will wrap up Scarred Paw as well since those two will officially be a full character here. I also may stick to one POV, if anyone has any suggestions or quarrels with that idea please let me know.
