Lola’s POV

Penny had been looking for Desmond for the last three weeks profusely. Well she’d been looking for him for nearly three years but three weeks ago, she got a message from Charlie saying he was alive on an island. And that was the only reason I was helping.

Even though it was completely pitch black outside I was laying on the deck, not wanting to be locked up inside the boat any longer. It wasn’t like I had anything to do. No one spoke to me on the boat, other than Penny even though she wasn’t even here but if I heard one more word about Desmond I would murder someone. I had never met the man, but from what I heard he was a saint, but to be honest I wasn’t too sure he existed.

I heard faint muffled screams. Springing to my feet I looked around the open ocean surrounding us to see a raft a bit off from us.

“Hey, there’s a raft. There’s please on a raft,” I shouted to the people inside the boat. Someone had probably seen it, as the stationary boat was now heading towards the raft.

“There are people, we need to help them,” I shouted out to them.

As we got closer to the raft I saw numerous people, looking scruffy and tired.

“Hey, are you okay? What the hell are you doing out here?” I shouted, “By any chance are any of you Desmond Humes because that’d save me a whole lot of time.”

“I’m Desmond,” A Scottish accent called.

“Seriously,” I squealed, “We need to get their raft to the ladder, and we need to save them.”

As their raft got to the side of the boat I helped Desmond on first before one of the other people from my boat helped the others.

I pulled the brunette into a hug. He seemed awkward and ridged in the hug.

“Oh Desmond, you don’t know how much freaking time I’ve been on this boat looking for you. Penny is worried sick. I genuinely thought you were fictional, she did well though,” I smiled.

“Penny, how do you know Penny?” He exclaimed.

“She’s a great person; I guess she never mentioned me. I’m Lola, Penny’s sister. She sent me on a boat to look for you. She’s on a separate boat, we’re working together to find you, and I guess we did with some of the Oceanic 815 guys right?” I smiled.

“Urm… Yes. This is Kate, Aaron, Sun, Sayid, Hurley, Frank and Jack,” Desmond stated.

I sighed.

“Contact Penny, tell her I have her lover here on my boat. Tell her we found some of the survivors; tell her we’ll meet here wherever she wants me to meet her. Let’s get you guys in the warm, get you showers and changes of clothing, as you all stink of arse,” I smiled, “Follow me. We will keep you safe, we’ll get you home, but my sister will want to see Desmond first. We have everything you need here, so if you want food or anything else help yourself, I’ll take you to some rooms, where you can get washed up, you can get changed, if you all get comfy I’ll bring you clothes and food, okay.”

I began to lead the group under the deck where we had a lot of spare rooms, as most people shared as we worked in shifts.

“Okay room one, ladies and baby. I’ll get you a make shift crib and other stuff soon, just settle in and I’ll be back soon,” I said before pointing to the next room, “Okay two dudes get that room, another two get that room and one lucky guy gets to share with me, as I’m the only one who has a room to myself on this bloody boat. I don’t bite and there’s a separate bed so don’t be too crept out by it.”
