I started seeing things. More of them.

I was out of the house and wandering the streets when I saw various people.

I thought it was weird that so many people were out at 2 AM. I approached one in curiosity. "Excuse me, is something going on?"

The girl I approached was probably a teen but her eyes were glowing red. I stepped back. "Nevermind, thanks."

I turned around and walked faster.

My heart was beating faster and faster with every step I took.

I felt all of them staring at me.

And when I heard rushed footsteps, I ran. I had nowhere to go but not here.

Here, where there was an abundance of inhumane creatures!

Why do I feel that they weren't human?

Why are there so many of them?

Why can I see them?

I felt a scrape on my feet. My shoes had fallen off along the way but it did not hinder my running.

I halted as no more footsteps came after me.

The sight that greeted me when I turned around made me drop on my knees.

All the creatures were gathering around my blood.

MY BLOOD.

They were all looking at it as if my blood was even more unusual than their existence and I don't know what to do.
