The veterinarian stuff in this chapter is not accurate, but deal with it.

Keith laid in bed and stared at the ceiling praying for sleep to come. But it didn't, it never did. Keith had suffered from nightmares the last few years. Nightmares that were so real, Keith would wake up and think reality was a dream. Though Keith didn't get nightmares like that as much anymore, sleep was still a challenge he had yet to overcome. See, Keith never coped with the nightmares, he would often stay awake throughout the night, refusing to sleep until his body ceased to function. In doing so, Keith developed a terrible case of insomnia, and could never quite fall asleep when he wanted. Insomnia was a bitch. Despite that, Keith did learn to function with little to no sleep, but there was a significant difference in his mood when he did sleep.

He couldn't help it. Everything kept him on edge. The way the clock ticked like it was counting down, the way the floor creaked as if someone was walking, and the way the faucet dripped. It all wound Keith up so tightly, he just had to move.

Eventually, Keith gave up. With a loud groan Keith sat up and grabbed his prosthetic leg. Putting on the robotic contraption created by Pidge, Keith stood up and grabbed his tools, planning on fixing the stairs. He knelt down and was about to start sawing when the ticking of the kitchen clock seemed to get louder and louder....Tick tick
~~~
Tick tick tick tick. The bomb began and Keith froze and whipped around to see Acxa frozen as she stood on a landmine. The normally rock solid woman swallowed hard as the fear slowly began to show on her face.
"Acxa..." Keith could feel his heart beginning to pound in his ears. He may had started off as a simple medic, and he still held that title, but Keith was a better soldier than most and held one of the highest cadet scores for the marines in the last decade. So, Keith knew what could happen if Acxa moved. He knew what would happen if she didn't, and he knew the bomb squad wouldn't beat the enemy to their position. "Don't move." Was all he could come up with at the moment.
Keith...."  Axca's lip began to tremble as she slowly dropped her gear. "I'm scared." Axca took off her helmet and threw it to side revealing her bright purple hair that she had dyed on a dare. Her gold eyes locked onto Keith's, scared and sad.
    "I know." Keith said as he began to inch towards Axca. But before he could reach her all hell broke loose
Bang! A gun went off.
Then a bomb exploded.
~~~

Tick tick
Abruptly, Keith grabbed his hammer and stormed into the kitchen. He grabbed a chair from the kitchen table and stood on it in order to reach the clock that hung above the fridge. He yanked it down and threw it onto the counter.

And then he smashed it.

Again and again Keith hit the clock with his hammer feeling the vibrations of each impact rattle through his arms. Even after the clock seized to work, Keith beat it. He sobbed as he smashed that clock until there was nothing left but broken, unrepairable pieces.

Keith slowly let the hammer drop from his hand as he slumped against the wall. He still had this undying need to move. He was on edge, and that was never a good thing. Red meowed as she rubbed her head against Keith's bleeding hand, wondering why her human was so sad.

"Can't sleep?"

Keith jumped and whipped around. A man with black hair, with white bangs stood, leaning against the couch. Though it was dark Keith could still see the scar running across his nose.
