After that incident at the grocery store we finally got out of that place before the army noticed us. I am still recovering from that guy tackling on top of me trying to bite me. There are still dry blood on me but hopefully I'll wash it all off soon.
Right now Randy is driving us to no where. He is wasting so much gas, what a dumbass. I am still in shock to be honest. I've always thought everything is fine till this virus or flu came out. I'm scared. I'm not scared about the virus, I scared about the future.
The wind is peacefully blowing in my face pushing my blonde hair out of my face. I glared out the window looking at the green trees. I wonder what's happening to everybody on this planet earth. Probably dying.
"Alright, anybody got suggestions where we should go to before we run out of gas because we are gonna run out like pretty soon." Randy spoke, making us flinch a little since everything was quiet for awhile. I don't know where we should go. We live in Florida, there's no where to go otherwise we are gonna run out of gas before even going anywhere. Unless we can steal a boat and drift away to another country.
"There is a private condo somewhere up ahead. Maybe we can ask the people who lives there if we can stay there for awhile." Matt says looking at his phone with the app of the map. I pursed my lips and looked over to Abby. She looked scared, of course she's scared, we're all scared.
"Alright, this better be good." Randy muttered after Matt spoke. Bryce and Matt's eyes are glued to their phones. Ugh god kids these days. Soon we are not gonna have electricity and everyone will freak out because they can't face reality.
"Aw shit, my phone died." Mike blurted out, I peered over to his phone. It's off, power dead. I sighed, ignoring him.
Mike is my 14 year old brother, he has light brown hair, tan skin, and blue eyes—just like me— I am so grateful for Mike, he'll try to do anything to protect me especially I'm the one who's suppose to keep him out of trouble not me. He has always wanted to be an older brother but since my mom couldn't get pregnant anything we couldn't have another sibling.
"Is that it?" Randy asked pointing at the sign that says Miami beach private property. Matt nodded silently, Randy takes a left. Everyone stood and watched.
As we approached to the gate, we noticed it's already open. Someone probably left it open because nothing looked wrecked or bashed on. Maybe these people were scared staying here and decided to leave immediately.
"Ha. Guess we hit jackpot, huh?" Randy smirked driving ahead, pushing the gate out of the way hopefully one of us go back and shut it to be safe.
"Holy crap, that is a huge beach house. Who the hell leaves a badass beach house unattended?" Bryce studied the features of the house roof to bottom.
I honestly think this beach house looks huge as fuck. The building is so tall and wide, perfect for the six of us to stay in.
"Home sweet home." Randy jokes around as he parked the car in a parking spot. I looked around the house to see if anybody is here. It looks empty, looks like nobody is here.
"Sweet." Bryce and Mike chuckled muttering things about the beach house.
"I'm gonna go up to the door to see if anybody is home, stay here till I say it's good." Matt informed us and helped himself out of the car, walking to the door checking his surroundings. I noticed a gun in his hand. I felt a pit in my stomach. I looked to Abby who is just sleeping so peacefully, I totally forgot about her.
Matt raises his hand up the door and knocked softly but loud enough for anyone to hear. But after he knocked the door creaked open. Cliché as fuck. Matt stood for a second then carried on. He walked inside. We couldn't see him. I held my breath for Matt. I waited and waited.
"It's all clear." Matt walked back out, I let out the breath I've been holding in. Thank god he is okay. A monster or someone could've been kidnapped him or killed him in some way without us knowing.
"Alright people, start unloading the car." Randy said in a don't-care-about-anything tone and started grabbing some things to bring inside.
Wish us luck.
