he lets go of my hand but his eyes were pleading that i would agree to his 'deal.'

i sighed, "fine, seungcheol." his big smile showed. "if you fail, you know what you'll do." i reminded and he nodded.

"i'll never fail you, seomin." he flashes a flirty smile. i rolled my eyes and started to walk away.

"seomin," i stopped my tracks and looked at him. he smiled again, "thank you."

i frowned at him, "for what?" i asked.

"for agreeing to this." i nodded. "i'm just giving you a chance. you know, you might win my heart back again."

i closed the door to my clinic and sighed loudly. was it a good thing or bad thing?

my mind was scattered everywhere. seungcheol always makes me feels like i'm in a whole new world.

my head is spinning and i can't think straight. he's a drug that i should get rid off. but no, my heart screams for him.

his love and affection is what i'm longing for. "what do i do?" i whined and sat on the gray carpeted floor.

i placed my palms on my face, i want to change my decision. i suddenly got an idea.

"if i fail, i'll stay away from you...forever."

i smiled and stood up. all i have to do is pretend that i'm not impressed by what he's doing.

yeah, right.

but isn't it a bit too harsh? no. i want to get rid of him. i want to open my heart again for someone better than him.

i sat on my working place and sighed again. it's for the best. a knock on my door bothered me as i stood up straight.

"come in," i croaked. damn it.

"oh, mingyu?" i creased my brows and he smiles. "someone wants to see you." he says.

"who?" i asked as i walked towards him. he closes the door and leads me on the ground floor.

"mingyu, i'm asking you-" "you'll know. you both will have a good talk. plus, it's lunch time you might want to eat with him." he smiles.

we suddenly stopped on a boy with blonde dyed hair as his back was broad. "hyung," mingyu spoke.

he turned around and i was shocked.

he was a college friend of mine. but, we weren't on the same course. "i'll leave you both now." mingyu bows down and leaves.

"long time no see, seomin." he smiles.

he was there for me when seungcheol left in the last few semesters. it was kind of awkward since he confessed to me and i rejected him.

i just didn't feel like it. i felt like it wasn't a match. we stayed friends but he asked for space.

here he is, standing in front of me with a more handsome look.

it was like, 'you'll regret not dating me before.'

"u-uh, yes. it's been a long time." i awkwardly laugh.

"i see, you're a successful doctor now, huh?" i scratched my hair and he smiles.

he's still a sunshine.

"how have you been?" i asked "i've been a successful painter. everyone loved my exhibition." he looked at his watch.

"you want to come there? i can show you my artworks." he invited.

it would be very harsh of me if i didn't go. "yeah, sure. let's grab a snack, first?" i asked and he nodded.

good thing i had my purse in my laboratory gown. we left the hospital and all i will do is to act normal.

why am i so affected about him?

"please check this patient" i said to the nurse. while i was looking around, i saw seomin with another guy.

i frowned as the guy was too blurry for my vision. he wasn't recognizable. the light made him too bright.

seomin laughs with the guy. it's painful.

but then i suddenly recognized the guy as i frowned once again.

"why the fuck is yoon jeonghan here?" i mumbled to myself.
