i was alone in my clinic, making some paperworks. someone knocked on my door as i looked up the time.

who would be bothering me this time? probably seungkwan? i opened the door and it was my mother.

"mom? what are you doing here?" i asked in excitement "i'm here to visit you, of course." she smiled.

i missed her so much.

she hugged me tightly and i hugged her back. we both sat down, she was holding a paper bag. "what's that?" i pointed at the bag.

"save your money this day because i brought you lunch." i smiled "you don't have to...i mean-"

"shut up, it's my day off and i have nothing to do." she smiled at me "thank you, mom. but we'll have to eat in the pantry."

"anyways, what brings you here?" i asked as i took out the food she made. "well...your father went and visited me."

i stopped and looked at her, "what? did he hurt you?" i asked concernedly. "no." she gave me a reassuring smile.

"he just asked me where you were and how you were doing. and i replied with, you're basically fine and pursuing her dreams."

i smiled at her. "but...he wanted to get you from me." my mom looked down.

"i'll never go with him. you raised me alone with all your life and he thinks that i'll go with him like that? no. i'll never go." i frowned and got annoyed.

"he's still your father, seomin." my mom looked up at me "i don't care. i don't like him."

the door creaked open and both of us looked.

"oh, seungcheol? you're here!" my mom's eyes sparkled with joy.

"seungcheol, can i have a private talk with you, please?" seomin's mother asked.

i nodded as i took her in the bench outside the hospital.

"so how are you and seomin?" she asked. "we're fine." i gave her a small smile.

she raises a brow at me. "i don't believe you. if you two are really fine, you won't give that small smile. you'd be the happiest man."

i chuckled, "we're really fine...it's just that...we're not that close, i guess?" she sighed.

"please wait a little longer for my daughter, okay? she's really like that. playing hard to get." she rolled her eyes.

"we actually made a deal. i gave myself a month to court her, and if i fail, i'll stay away from her." i sighed.

"you won't fail!" her mother assured "she still loves you." i chuckled "but i know one of her weaknesses." she smiled.

day checker : day 5th | august 14th

it's  saturday today and i have nothing to do. i just laid down on my bed and i'm already done with my paper works.

i sighed and rolled to the other side of the bed.

i closed my eyes, hearing a knock downstairs. i sighed, who would come at this hour? i sluggishly walked down stairs.

it's probably seungcheol.

i opened the door.

well, i was wrong.

it was new for me.

i thought seungcheol would be here.

"jeonghan?" i asked.

he flashed me a smile.

"i'm really sorry, i didn't expect for you to be here." i said while jeonghan was driving the car.

"it's a surprise, actually. i don't really mind. you still looked cute when you had your bed hair." he chuckled.

well, it's weird. but i sort of liked it.

i mean, i don't mind at all, he's still an angel after all.

"where are we going?" i asked him. he smiled, "we'll just go and visit someone." he replied.

"wait, what? i don't look presentable at all!" i panicked. he held my hand.

"don't worry. she won't mind." he replied.

she? is it her mother or something?

once we arrived, it was a cemetery.

"what? why are we here?" i asked him.

he took me on one of the tombs. i read and it said 'haeyoung.'

"who's haeyoung?" i asked him. he sighed and looked at me.

"it's actually my girlfriend. she died because of cancer." he replied.
