hear me

oh
you want me to tell you something?
something I wish I said
to your face?
something I held back
and regret not saying to you?
oh.
well alright;
if you insist.
hmmm...
let's see...

what can I say?

you know,
it can be rather hard to say anything
when we aren't speaking in person
anymore.
but they always say
actions speak louder than words
right?
so...

when I've attempted suicide
for the third time
will you hear me speak?
will you listen to the words
that I held back?
will you hear me crying for help
because I'm lost,
scared,
and confused?
or will your pride block your ears
to the desperate words
I've been screaming?

because I'm not so sure
I want to waste my last breaths
on these unspoken words
if you refuse to listen
to any of them
at all.
