Chapter Three

(Chapter 3)

"This girl is awesome<3" 

Those words kept crossing my mind everytime I read it. But I knew it was to good to be true. Dissapointing myself, I just went off with the rest of my day, enjoying the snow, and warming myself up by the fire with a great book. 

But most of all, thinking about you nonstop. Whatever I did, I always thought about you, and your skype status. Two of the same questions kept crossing my mind. 

Was the status really about me?

Does he know about my feelings for him? 

Still questioning myself, I sat outside on the porch and took some deep breaths, trying to clear my mind, but it was physically impossible. So I decided to give my bestfriend, Haley, a call and to tell her about my feelings for Phillip. But before I could even unlock my phone to call her, I get an incoming call. 

*Incoming Call From Best Friend*

Surprised about getting a call from her, I answer with a confused tone. 

Me: Hey, what's going on?

Haley: So who is the status about?

Me: ...Wh..What status? 

Haley: Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrlllll, don't play dumb with me. 

Starting to feel cheered up, I laugh at her, because she knows exactly when I'm lying. 

Me: (laughs) Okay, okay, you got me, it's about Phillip..

Haley: Haha! I knew you had a thing for him, when did this start? 

Me: I guess whenever he hung up from the skype call last night, I had a dream, and I guess... I started having these instant feelings for him. 

Haley: That's so cute, why don't you ask him out? 

Me: Are you crazy?!? I've only known him for like, a day, and you think I'm just going to ask him out like that? One, he barely knows me, two, we haven't even met in person, and three I doubt he feels the same anyways.. 

While ignoring what Haley says back, I become sad once again, I started to think about your status again... and about you. Everytime you come to my mind, I think about how you'll never be mine, no matter how much Haley convinces me to ask you out, even though I really wanted to do it. I would love to officially call you mine. 

While I was zoned out, I start hearing someone yelling at me. I come back to reality and notice Haley is yelling at me. 

Haley: Jill! Are you there? 

Me: Yeah, I'm here, sorry about that. 

Haley: Okay, haha, just get on Skype, I have to hang up. 

Me: Okay, I'll be on in a second!

*Call ended*

I set my phone down and open my laptop and signed onto skype, and click on Haley's profile and click the Call button. 

While waiting for her to answer, I look at my messages on the left and see a message from you. I quickly click it and the message reads Phillip: "hey(:" 8:56 PM. 

Oh great, here comes the cherry red cheeks and retarded smile. 

Haley answers and gives me a weird look on cam, and then knows exactly why I'm blushing. 

Haley: Let me guess, something to do with Phillip? 

Me: Yeah,.. how'd you know? 

Haley: Oh come on, I've been your bestfriend for 4 years, I can tell when you like a guy or not.

Me: True, but Phillip messaged me on skype! What's not to blush about? 

That's when I remembered, "Oh crap!", I forgot to message him back. Clicking on our conversation, I hurry up and type back. 

Me: Hey(: do you want to join me and Haley's call? 

Phillip: Sure(:

Me: Okay(:

Clicking back onto mine and Haley's conversation, I tell her to add you to our conversation, we turn off our webcams, and we wait for you to answer.

Haley: Hey Phillip!

Phillip: Hey Haley.

Your voice, my favorite thing in the world to hear.
