"scarlett where'd lyne go?" chris asked as he had just turned his attention away from his daughter for a second or two and then turned back around to find the four year old out of his sight. scarlett picked up her head from her daughter as her own daughter sat next to her playing wit her toys she shrugged, "maybe she's playing hide and seek. all she needs is a seeker and it's you, congratulations." scarlett smiles.

chris groaned gently as lyne wanted to play hide and seek yet again for about the fourth time today. "lyne come on out baby, i don't wanna play hide and seek." he said aloud as he then began walking around the room, up and down the hallway of his home and even checked the rooms he forbid her to go into, but she was no where in sight. as chris continued to look for the little girl, lyne was hiding behind the couch smiling to herself.

scarlett had helped her find that hiding spot, and to her happiness her father hadn't found her yet. she knew he was probably going to get frustrated with her, but not for long. she poked out her head and met scarlett's eyes, giggling as she heard her father call for her. "this is the best hiding place ever! but why didn't rose wanna play?" she whispered and scarlett shushed her gently with a smile.

"rose isn't the kind of girl who likes to be adventerous. she's a quiet girl but not around you because you're so much fun." scarlett had told lyne, making her smile widely and before she could hide again, chris walked out of one of the rooms and had caught avery. "i found you!" he said with a goofy smile and had walked over to his little girl's hiding spot, picking her up from her hiding place. "aw dang it." lyne sighed, receving a tap on her thigh from chris, "hey watch your mouth." he muttered to her.

"but uncle sebass says it!" lyne stated and chris sighed, "because he's a dum dum and likes to get in trouble." chris said, turning to scarlett as she had said his name. "chris, language." she joked with an amused smile on her face. chris chuckles gently and shakes his head, "i know, i know." he mutters softly and scarlett sighs as rose had climbed onto scarlett's lap, cuddling into her frame and closed her eyes. "we should get going, she had a fun time though i'm sure." scarlett says with a smile as she picked up the child and placed her on her hip.

lyne looked up at her aunt and she frowned, "leaving already?" she asked with a small pout and chris smiled gently at his daughter. "darling, they have to go to sleep just like you do." he said and picked up his daughter smiling lovingly at her. she huffed gently and rested her head on his shoulder. chris kisses her head before turning to scarlett. "it was good having you here, scar." he said softly and had grabbed her purse and passed it to her. she smiled and slung it over her shoulder and held the two toys rose had brought with her, "thank you for inviting me." she said and chris blushed lightly before sighing, "no problem at all."

"call me whenever, okay?" he said before she left, holding the door open for her and scarlett nodded, "i got you." she said and had said her goodbyes, making her way to her car. chris closed the door and turned his head to see lyne smiling widely. "what are you smiley about hm?" he asked her and she rolled her eyes with a smile, "you like aunt scarlett!" she said with a giggle, wrapping her arms around his neck and he rolled his eyes. "oh hush," he said before looking at his daughter with a smirk, "she did look beautiful today didn't she?" he asked her and she giggled with a nod, "daddy she looks so pretty everyday, you gotta keep your eyes open."

that made chris laugh and shake his head, "you're a hoot. now time for bed." he said making her groan as he carried her to her room. "can i sleep with you?" she asked and chris shook his head, "baby you said you would sleep in your own bed tonight. it's just as comfortable as mine." he explained as he changed her into her pajamas. "yeah, but yours is better." lyne said as she looked at the bed she was going to have to stay in for the whole night. she frowned, "the whole night?" she asked and chris nodded, "yes the whole night. you're a big girl now aren't you? or do you still need to sleep in the crib like a baby?" he asked with a small smile making her blush in embarrassment.

"i'm not a baby." she muttered and he nodded, "that's what i thought too. now go on, get into bed, i'll tell you a story, or would you want me to sing you to sleep?" he asked as she went to her bed and she smiled, "both!" avery said and sat on her bed. "what if i put a song and a story together would that be okay?" he asked her and she nodded quickly, snuggling into the cold sheets and made herself comfortable. chris held her little stuffed llama and gave it to lyne once she was settled. he sang her a song or two and he smiled in satisfaction to see his daughter going to sleep for the first time alone.

he leaned down to kiss her head and he turned on her nightlight, closing the door gently and left a crack open before going to meet dodger in the hallway. "bedtime." he said to dodger and his dog made his way to chris' room with his favorite stuffed lion. chris smiles and follows his dog, changing out of his shirt and pants then quickly falling asleep when his head hit the pillow.
