Erin's POV
I woke up as I felt the warm rays of the sun hit my face. Is it afternoon already? I found the answer to my question as soon as I fluttered my eyes open, seeing that my supposed roommates have already abandoned me. Great. They didn't even leave a note, I thought, rolling my eyes at no one.
Before I even stepped out of our room, I prepared myself for anything that could happen. Being with five prankster guys and four other hormonal teenage girls could mean anything and by anything I meant endless possibilities. You just don't know what to expect.
I decided to take a shower before I meet them. Remembering that I don't really know where they are, I slapped my forehead. I'd have to search the whole ship, for goodness sake. That, certainly, isn't the best exercise. I, for one, hate sweating.
After about fifteen minutes inside the shower, I finally stepped out of the bathroom. I made sure I'd look pretty much presentable enough for them not to tease me more for being remarkably late. I slept even more than the ones who drank did, which is quite embarrassing. One thing more, the dark circles below my eyes are so noticeable you could mistake me for being a zombie. If only I could tell them the entire truth...
I started searching for them inside the suite where the guys stayed. Unfortunately, I had no luck finding them there. I feel as if I am playing hide-and-seek but it seems like I am in the game all by myself, which sucks.
My breathing quickened as I realized that I might be the only person inside the entire cruise ship. Harry has already left me once. Maybe he, or they, can do it again. I'm a nobody, after all. It's like I am in the real world, the world we left, all over again, alone. Sigh. I thought I was already over that stage.
A loud thud from the deck captured my attention as I made my way towards the main door. It was followed by a series of thundering footsteps made by a group of people. What could they be doing? Are they tap-dancing? Weird.
I stepped forward, smiling like an idiot at the thought. It's funny how fangirling over One Direction never fails to make me feel better no matter what situation I am in. David, my guy best friend, never understood my fangirling. I always tried to explain to him that One Direction is more than a group of five attractive guys to me, but he would just shrug me off, covering both his ears with his hands at the same time.
A loud bang snapped me away from my memories. The smile on my face faded away and was soon replaced by a frown. What was that? Could someone have stumbled because of executing the steps wrong? For the nth time, I slapped my own forehead, cussing silently at myself. How could I be even having stupid little scenarios playing inside my mind when the situation could probably be dire?
Walking slowly and doing my best not to make a sound, I eavesdropped the conversation the boys and the strangers were having.
"Who are you?" A deep manly voice, which I think was Liam's, asked.
Instead of replying, the intruders responded with impish chuckles. I sneaked a peek, hiding behind the ship's main door but still giving me quite a good view of the deck. I saw four men standing opposite to my companions, situated roughly three meters away from them. The One Direction lads kept the four girls close behind them, probably to protect them from the buccaneers armed with what seem to be makeshift swords and pistols.
The four 'pirates' chuckled once again, making Louis turn red in rage. Sadly, I couldn't see the faces of the people attempting to ransack our ship since they had their backs turned to me.
They began removing articles of clothing, hats, eye patches, fake beards, wigs and mustaches to be exact, revealing who they really are. All nine of my amigos and amigas dramatically dropped their jaws. Angel mouthed something, but I was unable to understand what she was trying to say.
Soon, I was able to decipher what she was mouthing. Being Angel, she was unable to hold back her emotions. "FIVE SECONDS OF SUMMER?!?!" She shouted, jumping up and down, just freaking out like any other fangirl would do.
Did I hear her right? Did she really say 5 Seconds of Summer?!
Initially, I planned to stay behind the door until the intruders leave (if they do), but because of my clumsy self, I accidentally twisted the doorknob open, causing it to swing me out of my hiding place. Moreover, I fell flat on my face. Everyone's attention was turned to me. My cheeks heated up at once in embarrassment. I made the scene much more awkward than it already is.
The boy who looked like Luke Hemmings walked towards me, actually holding out his hand, offering to help me up. I looked at him in hesitation but he gave me a reassuring nod, motioning me to grab hold of his hand. I couldn't really resist for long. His blue eyes and his blonde hair were irresistible that I just had to give in.
"Luke?"
"Ashton?"
"Calum?"
"Michael?" Everyone asked almost at the same time. They had these interesting and priceless facial expressions that made me wish I had a camera with me. The boys looked at me then at them, all four of them with confused looks on their faces.
"Who the hell are you talking about?" 'Ashton' asked, still with his eyebrows furrowed. His gaze met mine, and although I really wanted to shift my eyes away from him, I just couldn't. I don't know if it's just his extreme cuteness or I'm just terrified of whatever may happen. He gave me a questioning look, which bothered me so much I just had to answer.
"They were talking about you, boys." I breathed out, still tensed as ever. By this time, we were all confused. Did the 5SOS lads get amnesia?
Calum shoved me out of his way and confronted the One Direction lads, whose guards were still up, luckily.
"I am so offended." He eyed each of them, snapping his two fingers while forming a letter Z. "We are MEN, not BOYS."
"And our names are not Callan, Ashley, Ludwig and Marcus." I attempted to correct 'Michael', but they went on rambling.
"My name is Juan." The blonde quiffed one said, running a finger over his lip ring. He doesn't exactly look like someone whose name is Juan.
"I'm Dee." The sassy, dark haired 'man' said. "And just so you know, I am not Asian."
Okay?
"Rex is the name." The wavy haired one tapped one of the loungers with his drumsticks.
"Sean." The emo simply said while running his hand through his purple hair.
Weird, I thought. Juan. Dee. Rex. Sean. What???
Unable to answer, everyone stood exactly where they were, immobile, as we all stared at them four. They, in return, did the same. Soon, we were having a staring game with ten against four. Strangely, though, the group with four members seemed to be winning, apparently because of the intimidating gazes that made each one of us look away at one point.
When all of us finally gave up, the four let us sit down on the loungers as they guarded, making sure no one tries to sneak away.
"From now on, we own your ship. You will follow our orders and regard us as your captains." Juan the blonde said. Honestly, if we were just a bunch of five year-olds, I would've assumed they just wanted to play pirates. Sadly, though, we weren't. Were a bunch of young adults stuck nowhere. They just were acting quite childishly.
"Yeah, okay." Niall and Lea replied in sync, nonchalantly.
Sean walked towards them both in a rather creepy way then lifted Niall's chin using his index finger. Shaking his head in rejection, he said, "Nu uh. Do not answer rudely to your superiors."
Lea, being the sarcastic one, replied, rolling her eyes. "Aye, aye, captain!"
