---Waking up suddenly became something I hated. Having the faux 5SOS lads as company, life in an isolated island became... dreadful. They weren't exactly bossy. Annoying is a much appropriate word. Since they barged into our lives, they started to steal the girls away from us.
They seem nice, but most of the time, only to the girls. We guys are still treated as manservants, preparing everything for them and being at their service whenever they need us. We're supposed to run at the snap of their fingers. God, I want to leave and run away from them so badly.
I had proposed this plan to Rae once, but she is so anti-running away. Even if I tried so hard to enumerate the pros, she always came up with cons, which eventually made me back out of the argument. Her insistence plus the way she is ignoring me at present makes me assume that she likes being with the pirates.
Or perhaps she's just afraid, like the other girls are. I tried to talk to Angel once and opened up about my idea, then she spoke up. She told me that she and Lea doubts about what lies beyond the shore, what lies beyond our comfort zone. With that, I realized that trust is still an issue to all of them.
I don't know if the lads noticed, but the girls who are with us, all five of them, are all going through tough personal stuff. Beneath the beauty we see lies pent up feelings, doubts and bad memories, scars even. That's why they are uptight, afraid of trying out new things.
I hope Harry, Niall, Zayn and Liam know this. If they don't, I will they'll do soon. The beauty they possess and the goodness in each of them will be useless if the repressed emotions consume them, make the smile in their faces fade and the glint in their eyes vanish.
Hollers snapped me out of my deep thought. The four annoying blokes seem to be having a great time with our girls. I looked around me and saw my companions abruptly stop working to watch them. They gaped at the group of people laughing, the same way as I was staring at them a while back. It is obvious that their thoughts are travelling elsewhere. Like me, a series of laughter brought them back to reality, making them aware that they have been gawking at the group for quite a long time.
Dee took a glance at us and realized that we have stopped working. All of us were caught red handed. He raised his eyebrow then gave as a stern look. "Any problem there?" He asked, calling out.
I wanted to shout back so badly. Yes. We have a big problem. It involves you and your irritating little posse. If only shouting back wouldn't get me and my friends into deep trouble, I would definitely do it without hesitation.
We all shook our heads, not daring to look at Dee's eyes, and then went back to work.
The sound of huge, heavy waves smashing against the ship woke me up from my catnap. Disturbed, I stood front my lounger at once and looked at the sea. It's calm atmosphere was gone all of a sudden. The summer feel was tainted with a slight hint of gloom. It was odd, since it is only three in the afternoon. The sun should still be out and shining bright. Something is wrong, and my instinct tells me that something terrible is ought to happen, too.
The waves, peculiarly, are huger than ever. Liam would agree with my observation, since he knows which waves he could ride the surfboard with and which he could not. What is happening right now is beyond normal.
I went to one of the ship's telescopes and pointed it at the horizon, having this bad feeling. I need to reassure myself that what is happening is not what I think it is. Unfortunately, it is exactly what I thought.
